I stopped running the tuning after the clock speed for CCX2 dropped below stock rated speed. Here is a portion of my log. Also noticed that processor detection not relable. Sometimes says platinum and sometimes says bronze.

I used beta 2 but the system keep crashing/rebooting when running start after the diagnostic. Ryzen 3600X on a Asus Rog Strix X370-F Gaming. Not once was I able to finish. Log cleared, Bios setup ok. Tried all LLC.

Is this a no go on a X370 board?

I have tried getting the diagnostics to run through and give me a result, but it seems like it just goes on forever and then suddenly it crashes and I don't get any result at all.
    Any ideas why this is?
I set all the settings in the BIOS and made sure there was no memory overclock. Running a Ryzen 5 3600 with 2x8GB Corsair LPX 3200 CL16 sticks in a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max with Corsair RM750x PSU.

In my case, CTR works (almost) flawlessly. OK, it sometimes doesn't apply settings upon OS startup and Prime95 sometimes doesn't kick in but I made the diagnostics to work (my R5 3600 is apparently a golden sample) and I was able to achieve stable 4425 MHz at CCX1 and 4400 MHz at CCX2 under 1.275 V. I set CPU LLC as well as SoC LLC to Level 3 at my Asus Strix X570 E-Gaming mobo. The guide never said anything about SoC LLC so I was just wondering if it's okay.
What is worrying me a bit, though, is that HWinfo now displays silly voltage readings unless all cores are fully loaded, i.e. some cores report 0 V; others even 1.55 V. I am wondering if this is just buggy readings or something to worry about (1.55 V).

    Hi folks,

    Here's my current setup:
    Ryzen 9 3900X
    Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite w/ F30a BIOS
CPU Vcore LLC set to: Turbo
    SOC LLC: Auto

In both beta1 and beta2 I get a gold sample rating for my chip. It reports 1074mV and a power efficiency of 3.77. Standard cinebench R20 score of 3678.

I run the tuning, I get around 7-10 steps in and then just hard crash and reboot. No logs produced. Each time I attempt to retry it starts from the beginning then hard crashes again. I am able to run the diagnostics with no issue, system is generally 100% stable and temps during the testing and tuning never peak above 65 degrees. I'm new to Zen2 so I'll hold my hand up and say I'm pretty green when it comes to AMD overclocking, am I doing something wrong or do I need to adjust something within my BIOS or hold out for another hotfix which may help me out ?

I remember there is something specific in the guide when you the Core tags are nog defined correctly. So in this case, if you still have this problem, check the guide out from start to end again (like the error message said), somewhere in there this problem is mentioned.

Hi everyone. I have a small question: Once configured, does CTR need to run in the background or open on startup for the tuned profile to be applied every time? Thanks in advance for answering!

As long as "Apply profile with OS" is enabled, it should be started automatically but in Beta 1, it wasn't always the case.

HWINFO shows my average CPU core voltage at 1.427v. I stopped using the app because I think that's too much.

So, do you mean to say that the program should be started automatically, or the profile is applied without the program running in the background automatically? And thank you.

Does anyone know why my numbers are solid sticking on 100? I have checked every setting, it should work fine. I have a friend with a 3900X and a MSI GAMING EDGE WIFI as well, and he has same problem.

On my 3800x i looked at both the performance and power saving recommendations and the difference in voltage is significant. i went with the power saving which runs the CPU at 4200mhz but drops temps in many (CPU demanding) progs by 10C (on custom water) but i saw only a 1fps drop when i benched FC5 at 4k and max settings.

I suggest keeping a drive with an OS backup on it for testing.

ie backup your OS, restore to another drive, test what happens on that drive.

THIS WILL NOT HELP with gaming/normal use.
since this is a "fixed" oc, running PBO (enabled, not just auto) will be better (especially for non MT clocks),
and my CB20 result was actually tick higher (bit more power use tho).

    about cpu quali:
i forgot that pbo was running, so switching pbo off, my 3700 went from platinum to bronze,
so its not that reliable (for now at least).

    LLC setting:
start with recommended setting, switch one down/up if needed.
i got "lower LLC" warning on the beta v2, and switching from turbo to high (Aorus x570 Ultra)
fixed it, and i didn't have more than 1% drop, nor did it affect my boost clocks.

anyone having problems with the prog:
-make sure you run the latest (non beta/stable) bios for your board/cpu (with needed settings)
-make sure your ram is stable (3rd pass on memtest (v8.4) showed it wasn't anymore, i needed +0.01v more after update)
-make sure net 4.6 is installed
-make sure your running the latest chipset driver
-make sure that you still have the zipped CTR folder (dl again if needed)
-uninstall ryzen master, delete existing CTR folder, delete windows logs and registry (use ccleaner if you don't know how)
    -SHUTDOWN pc
    after boot:
(use the amd balanced plan if possible)
-install ryzen master, start it once and shut it down again
-unzip CTR folder, copy CB files and run it once to accept conditions
-start CTR and do "diagnostics", after its finished, do "start"..
