None of would be need it stuff was tested before mass production instead forcing something out that wasnt tested proper just so they get out there and get money from it like I said costly mistake

it CTD cause some piece of hw on card not some software from what i reading that hw defect imo

Just FYI none of these GPU vendors are using POSCAP's. No idea why it keeps getting repeated.

Well I'm not sorry for the scalpers that bought these cards - if the rumor spreads and people stop buying maybe they will learn a lesson.

I am wondering why nobody... new buyers, any youtube reviewers... nobody mentioned all these crashes they were having... until now.

Why did all these professional reviewers not mention it at all?

Did they think it was just them and their machine and they didn't want to appear stupid by saying my machine keeps crashing now and i don't know why?

Reviewers didnt test the cards properly. Few benchmark runs isnt the same as real gaming. Until more people got their hands on the cards issue didnt eppear.

So much for a "trusted" sponsored youtube channels like DF.

I agree with you on that but many reviewers got GPU literally before the launch and they literally needed to do reviews in 1 day, I can't blame them for that

This launch hasn't been Nvidia finest plus availability is too not sure what I can say on that

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

Having to manually downclock a brand new video card for stability is absolutely unacceptable. I'd be pissed if I bought a 3080.

Is it possibly that this is driver problem ?
Aren't benchmarks made to stress the card not one reviewer said any thing about crashing till now.
Some user's on Reddit are having same problem with RTX 2*** and stated that rolling back to a older driver corrected the problem.

Honestly - technically speaking - fitting your card with a P.O.S. CAPs sounds like a recipe for a disaster, they should have asked me, I would have told em

No is hardware issue. You have to downclock your card.

What's "funny" is that most of these custom cards are quite a bit more expensive than the FE (some more than others), so you basically pay more for worse performance. If this was nvidia's idea to "compete" with them with their not affected FE cards then they most definitely shot themselves in the foot along with the partners...

Did you mean AMD is not beating Nvidia of late? I'm fairly sure AMD has beaten AMD every time.

From what I've understood from this thread, this has also affected buyers who have done nothing but install the card and the new drivers. No tampering with clocks manually. You can't say that's not defective, unless you are a lawyer who used to work for Big Tobacco. It's not the customers' business if a card is not working out of the box. I don't see how this would have become such a scandal if only manually overclocked cards were crashing. It would merely mean there's no overclocking headroom.
