Makes sense, not much space between a 3080 and a 3090 to put in a Ti/Super model. Any such item would have been an nVidia sized slap in the face of 3090 owners, and I have a feeling they want to avoid that with Navi 2X coming in Oct/Nov. Not launching a 20GB model to begin with though... think of that what you will.

Looks like the rumours are coming true for the rtx 3060 being on par with a rtx 2080

If it's cheap enough, it'll be a great card for the masses.

Normal RTX 3070 in under RTX 2080 Ti after all, probably RTX 3070 Ti will be slightly faster. Nice to see RTX 3060 being on par with RTX 2080 tho.

Atleast no 3090 TI /SUPER for now. Was worried if i get a 3090 i might get shafted as much as the people did with the 3080 10gb.

Unpopular opinion: I'm really interested to see what will happen on the budget end of things... like a 3010, 3040, and a 3050.

It will probably be the Ti version. I'd say the same with the 3080, the Ti is the 20gb.

I think like a videocardz.com comment "rightly" said in my personal opinion that this would have raised the price too much maybe in the 1000USD and would not have been the launch success it is
the 3080 is the same price as a 1080ti at release in NA (3080 actually cheaper than my 1080ti was in my country) this for double the fps in 1440p or 4K is a "bargain"

sorry for yet another "car guy" reference but in the car industry if you want a 400hp car rather than a 200hp one it will cost you double almost, no free performance in that industry and that "no freebies" is also in terms of fuel consumption and cost (wattage, airflow, cooling, psu etc...)
an exhaust upgrade for DerBauer GT-R is in the 4-5k so you can imagine for him a 3080 has a great value price (only 2500$ for my car yay )

If it will be around 400$/Euros then it will be a great value card and probably my next upgrade.

Its the 3070 super im after now,
was the 3080 but the power consumption is a huge turn off for me, the 3070 16gb or whatever amount of vram it has will be best choice for me at least

Lol, who the **** cares about power consumption... if that is a concern at all, then get a console instead. Choosing a highend gaming gpu on the basis of power consumption is just... yeah...

Apparently a lot when gtx 680 released and then some more when gtx 980 & 1080 vs amd and their "hungry" power house.

I just think when you have two cards of similar performance/price - power is typically the third metric people use to gauge. If AMD releases a 6900XT and it's 3080 performance +-5%, also $700 but is 200w.. lots of people are going to focus on the power as an argument.

It's not about how much space is between the 3080-3090 it's about how much extra they can add onto the 3090 in the form of a 3090ti or a titan, at which point then they can offer a 3080ti ;-)
