ain't it amazing one of the first trailers for this was back in 2013, two years before witcher 3 released.
I can see this using more than 10gb @1440, i hope it does.

 

why u hope it does?, we want it to be optimized enough for a gtx 1070 equivalent to enjoy the game above 60 fps

 

Obviously there'll be an option for medium / high textures, i'm hoping there's an uber texture setting too and that it looks Fing amazing is all.

 

Yea but if it's anything like uber sampling in The Witcher 2 it'll be pointless, but either way I'm sure it'll have a lot of visual options to adjust. I'll be happy if I can pull off 1080p/60fps and generally high settings without ray tracing of course.

I am mainly buying the 3090 just so I can get as close to 4k 165 fps (monitor refresh) in this. It's a shooter so would hate to have only 60-70fps.

 

144hrz gameplay is only required for competitive multiplayer, which is here irrelevant obviously other than that it in singleplayer doesnnt matter much

 

I agree that higher refresh rate is beneficial for competitive multiplayer, but I wouldn't say that is the only scenario where its required. Even in SP games 120hz and up makes a huge difference in overall gameplay and feel of the game. It's great really. Witcher 3 with 120hz plus is beautiful.

yeah, with those recommended specs, you can play at 720p 30 fps

 

There is no way 4790k and 1060 can max out this game. I would argue that config can even max out Witcher 3.

 

Unsure how my i7 4790k is going to fair at 4k? Will it be enough to cope with 4k 60fps?

Ordered a 3080 hopefully it arrives before Nov 19th

 

You'd think recommended specs would be enough to use RT.
Odd they would recommend not to use it.
They would be better having a min/recommended spec for RT as well, that will be important for many gamers.
