IMO: Every shop and website got about 10 of them, and the owners / employees / friends of the shop / website got them all before they ever went live on any website. :(

Ebuyer appears to be functioning for those wanting to pre order.

I'd like to see a Strix review, there arent any!

  10. I don't think people meant that, after all NVIDIA started that notion by being the first to start the comparison to begin with.

I feel that is the logical comparison. Since both are using the 102 chip. While for example 2080 and 3070 are 104. In terms of nvidia the 102 are the highest end for gaming.

Just noticed TimeSpy scores, overall 15k the same as my 2080 Ti, but graphics scores 17,7k vs 15,7k on my 2080 Ti, still my current GPU is doing it with only taking 300w top, not really worth it to upgrade, maybe 20GB version will be more interesting, but again with that much power draw I might skip this gen completely, unless AMD will surprise me.. this is not easy decision lol

It's what most are missing. The card is memory starved and it's taking a lot of power.
Later models will get more ram, but that's for extra money for sure.
    No-one with a 2080Ti should upgrade to a 3080.

everyone had the same volume of products in their channels as Turing,

the vocal consumerism minded folk with the axe to grind are at fault for thinking they would get ahead of the more savvy users using less than legitimate means.

If you sold a card to buy a new one, well, this is on you.

  18. While I agree with this I'd also add Nvidia probably used deceptive if possibly false advertising practices. Doubt anything will ever come of it; no one has taken anyone to task over that sort of thing since like at least what the 90s? Maybe earlier, the point is yeah... there are both sides to this and each is contributing to a situation as it were. Heck, I sold my card. To be fair I'm more than happy letting it just sit there for now though. Just a happy camper, got my job keeps me busy, school, etc besides a game console and other things besides gaming to do ( a laptop as a computer ) hehe. Anyhoo.
I think the jury still isn't out on that one. I'd like to see actual consumer reports first before all the "oh you can't buy this or have to that" opinionated comments start rolling in from the would-be experts. Sure the third party reviewers have shown performance etc but that's a snapshot / a window of the operability of the card within a given amount of time and space. I'd like to see what people report under different configurations, environments, stressors etc. It's always interesting to find out what if any "unreported" flaws surface.

There'll be a card for everyone, also if people just rejected the high cost scalpers and only bought from ebay sellers keeping to RRP (as some do legitimately just buy to sell to markets that nvidia doesn't serve) there'd be less scalping.

  20. To me, the entire point of buying the card in the first place is that it is an "RTX" not a "GTX". That it is better than 1080 Ti's in SLI is just a cherry on top. SLI goes EOL Jan 2021. MultiGPU scaling will be more "hit & miss" without OEM resources supporting it post SLI EOL. It isn't that wide-ranging now with DX12.
