I wouldn't say so. I just tested the first single player mission, DX12, borderless mode, and I still get some occasional stutters (at least without frame ahead rendering as I want the best latency). It is worse in fullscreen exclusive mode. But what is worse is that I tried a multiplayer game and thanks to my bad ISP the first connection try always ends with an error message which should get me back into the server browser but there is just a black screen with the mouse cursor on screen and I need to kill the process in the task manager to get back to the destkop.

Edit: At least the stuttering came from the Windows balanced power plan, my Xeon doesn't seem to like it.

 

I just want a fix for the monitor going black and refusing to turn on, unless I power it off and on again... And I know it's not the monitor or any other component because I didn't have this problem before I changed GPUs.

 

Have you trid another cable?

any reason why the win 10 x64 download would show as potentially harmful on chrome?

Damned people have horrible issues despite those fixes. Amd needs to hire engineers.

Rdna2 launch is closing in. Their fame and status is not really good at the moment.

Even used rtx 2080ti will sell more than rdna2 if they don't do something. Like those second hand gtx 1080ti are almost everywhere now.

 

I cant start bfv with dx12 (rx580) it loads for ever. Anyone else?

 

Can you people with bugs give me a reason why you are using DX12 in BFV with AMD? Whats the point really? You don't get anything like DLSS or RT. Keep it DX11 and enjoy the game, for God's shake!

 

For testing propose to find a bug. I dont want to play the game i directx12 i want to start it. So simple.

 

Clean the shader cache and if existing - also ingame generated / compiled shaders (if exist, not sure - can't remember).

 

Nvidia seems to be dropping the ball with Pascal optimizations now though, or maybe it just depends on the game. Like RX 580 matching GTX 1070 in RDR2

 

amd d3d11 doesn't have command lists or multithreading, d3d12 does.

 

rx580 is matching 1070 in last year BF5 this year Gears 5 and Zero Dawn. They've been doing it for a while now.

Both off. Game mode does nothing at all and VRR is better left disabled if using freesync or gsync.

 

Is this because 1070 is going worse with drivers or because the 1070 got worse drivers ? we have always seen the ati resisting better in getting old cards. i m not surprised.

 

Its no secret nvidia is not optimizing older archs when new one is released. Pascal isnt getting any love for a while now. Horizon Zero Dawn have flashing textures all over the place but hey amd drivers sucks.

 

I wonder if i will be every ready to move from NVIDIA for the GPU, mentally i mean.

Driver works nicely on my laptops with Vega 6 and 7, VP9 content seems to be playing smoother now.
