*Waits for AMD Navi. Hopes for massive price drops...somewhere, anywhere that would be an upgrade from GTX 1060 3GB*

...and dropping what used to be $199 before the "mining craze" from ~700 to ~500 is not even close! Not to mention, I'm pretty sure I'd need a new $100+ Power Supply (3x8 pin?!?!) just to plug one of these in.

    I can't wait...
Also I see that online stores seems to stick with MSRP prices(3090) and small increase for 3080 - for now...:

I wonder if that is for an improved driver update.

A two day delay must mean a minor bug or that some reviewers need a little more time, doesn´t seem anything serious i think.

    I have both intel 3.0 9900k and amd 4.0 3960x
I recently tested for scores and temperatures moving the gpu from the top 4.0 x16 pcie slot to a lower pcie slot that I downgraded in bios to a 3.0 x8 (worst case scenario on my z490 motherboard) 4.0 x16 100%
    3.0 x8 99,46%
almost the same really, pcie 4.0 might become useful when they introduce the "direct storage" thing but since it will probably need new games etc...this is not a concern for now and we might all have changed computers before it'll be really used ;)

personnally I'm waiting 1) for the benchmarks to show me if Intel still has the edge, which will decide where the 3000 goes 2)if the 3090 is better enough that it's not going to get beaten by a 3080ti/super 3) to see if I can buy a water-cooling version from evga or aorus as I plan to do it I don't want all that heat in my case anymore (my 1080ti already reaches 320+watts on a daily basis)

I think it's normal. And in Poland they delivered some input lag measuring device, so maybe this time is for additional testing.

The power location could not be worse.

This whole delay is weird. So people who already completed their reviews might have to start over with new driver or something?

"Oupsy guys, we gave you drivers filled with debug code"

The 3k series is gonna blow everything else before it out of the water, all we need to do is wait, so I say best to forget about it till Wednesday. First nvidia move, then AMD in October /November, then nvidia's response, many folks are waiting on that response, including me I guess.:)
But sure, best just forget about 3k for now.

FYI the 5700XT REFERENCE BLOWER is around 45db and supposed to be "loud" remember?
This one goes to 48db it seems....

    30 dbA (70 °C, 350 W)
    reference 5700XT (76 °C, 200-220W) @45 dbA is ~3 times as loud

3090 cooler is like 6 times more effective than that blower.

That is Nvidia's statement. Lets wait for reviews :)

FYI a 5700XT AE (reference) is pretty quiet card on default settings that doesn't go over 32db at ear level when is at full load at stock fan curve. The only thing audible is the soft moving of air. No high pitched fan noise.
If you shove a microphone at the exhaust it will catch the moving air like your mobile phone mic catches even the smallest breeze creating a loud noise on the other side, and last time checked none uses their GPU while they have their heads in the case.
