Where are all these fake reviewers getting these cards?I dont think nvidia would state that the 3070 was as fast or faster than the 2080Ti if the 3080 only runs a few percent faster.

I wanna think that their claims were heavily dependant on DLSS but the core count in the 3090 does seem to indicate double the power.

I can't figure who in the heck would "pre-order" a GPU before even the first reviews appear...? To that matter, I'd love to know what nVidia has told reviewers they cannot do, if anything--it would be interesting. Are they all directed to use the same benchmarks, test the same way, etc.? nVidia's MO since way back is always to send out a lot of cherry-picked cards to first reviewers--they even used to send out overclocked cards that nV said were stock clocked--I found that out with a TNT2 purchase many years ago. Weird how I never forget this stuff...;) Must've made an impression, I guess...Here's another reason I would advise people to wait on the RTX-3000-series to shake out--the "starting at" price points JHH mentioned. I don't think those will be very reliable...most especially if supply is tight.

Wise money will wait until the AIB cards ship--but, that may not be true, especially, as I bought an AMD reference 5700XT 50th Ann last July, and it's been a great card all year. In fact, judging from some of the reviews I've read I made a better choice than some who went with an AIB. So maybe nVidia's FE GPUs are better than some of their AIB products...? I couldn't say where nV is concerned.

Anyway, I'm not doing anything until After 10/28...unless it's ordering a Zen 3 CPU, but that depends on availability, price and of course performance. I want to know what 'big NAVI" is going to be before I do anything GPU-wise.

God I love how with age I got more patient. I'm still waiting for the next AMD and Intel CPUs to release before I pull the trigger on a new GPU. Be it AMD or Nvidia. In the past, I'd be there on day one. But not anymore. I'll happily blast out decent fps on my 7700k and 2080 until then.

I was already wondering why the reviews aren't up, but rechecking this article revealed the exact date was the morning in pacific time, which means quite late in the day for pretty much the whole world, seeing how the pacific region is the last place on Earth to get to their morning.
