Crysis 1 remake (rumor)

^ not initially my intent but as soon as a typed it yea .

 

Crysis and Crysis Warhead were the only good crysis games, afer that they got consolized, just like Fear and Fear 2 were great and Fear 3 was trash cause it got consolized and it showed in how it looked and played when it got ported back to pc

I will get the remake when it hits steam. and for right price

 

You do realize... the version of FEAR 2 that was released... was the console version, right?

When Monolith started work on FEAR 2, they had two separate builds. A PC focused title, and a console one. A little ways into development, they were forced to kill one and consolidate the teams into a single group to develop the title.
They canned the PC focused build and brought the console one to completion.


Now, I love FEAR 2, but just pointing out that it's a crap excuse to say a game is bad because on consoles.
FEAR 3 is a poor game because the team behind it did a poor job. Not because of consoles.
And personally, Crysis 2 is my favorite of the series. Warhead is better then Crysis, but... still only okay. The first game I find to be rather tedious and boring to play. And I hugely enjoyed the city setting of Crysis 2 miles above anything presented in the first game.

 

I felt the shooting in 2 was kinda fun but the story just went in a completely different direction than what I was hoping for and I did not enjoy how the suit controls were dumbed-down, the levels in 2 also felt a bit smaller and more focused on the path the level designers wanted the player to go.. 3 was was so badly optimized and I couldn't stand how badly it run, never made it past the introductory level, I have no idea where the story goes after 2.

in crysis 2 the reporter of the new york times described the game levels as : A walled In experience, which is not good, i will never forget those words

It's a good looking remaster now, remember it's not a remake.

 

I'll get it a year from now, on Steam. With a few patches on top, a lower price and a ton of mods.

 

that new trailer seems to suggest 8k as part of the "can it run crysis" option ...I...just...if that's the case, most games of this gen can't run. I mean 8k....not until Thursday at least.

^ Yeah, except this time, it's not actually funny at all. Adding a few half-baked FPS killers to the game doesn't make it next-gen.

Hey, this is what people want. They want ray tracing which runs like crap, and they will even pay for that, and pay huge price. You know, happy 2080ti owners. O how happy they are these days.

It doesn't matter the insane price and crappy performance, and the fact that he gets nothing from that. But it's a ray tracing, the newest buzzword.

agreed, i said the very same when metro exodus and control came on the scene, i agree the ray tracing adds a lot to the whole realism of the scene, but it runs very poorly and it doesn t justify running like that, im glad i ll be waiting to get the 3090 next year when prices drop a little
