With the ASUS XG279Q out of my price range I'm eyeing the LG Ultragear 27GL850-B for my new build next year. Not too worried about the contrast ratio. I've got a 10 year old Alienware Optix that I keep dim for general usage so it's better for my eyes and use Reshade in most games to correct the color and contrast. I also don't use the computer in the dark because my eyes don't like it since I had laser surgery years ago.

I have the LG 27GL850-B and to me, it looks good. I play all my games and am happy as a pig in crap. Whatever you buy, there will always be a negative review. For what it's worth, it'll do just fine. Just buy what makes you happy.

Do you know if the LG 27GL850 has a scaler chip in it or only supports GPU driver resolutions?

    Just ordered the 27GL850-B myself.

Hoping to pair it with a RTX 3070 + Cyberpunk 2077 bundle.

I am looking at the lg also the 4k one. Worth the extra £200 over the 1440p version? which looks great and from what have read is a brilliant screen. (the c clear one nano ips).

The latest model Aorus FI27Q-P is AUD$1100. Expensive like ASUS. LG UltraGear 27GL850-B is only AUD$800 with mostly good reviews so it's still top of my list.
