    GeForce RTX 3090, 3080, and 3070 hey, they're coming. But the big-ticket item for most will be the GeForce RTX 3060 of course. That product has been unannounced but according to the usually well info...

    Rumor: GeForce RTX 3060 to have 4864 shader cores?

    Yeah my best guess is a 3060 Super/Ti using a cut down GA104 for $400, and a normal 3060 using full GA106 for $300.

    lol, supers are an evolution of the same chip, never a cut down of the next bigger chip like the ti's.
    not sure why everyone gets that mixed up.

    RTX 2070 is TU106
    RTX 2080 is TU104
    RTX 2070 super is TU104

    For the other Supers, i agree your statement is correct, but the statement isn't universal. Nvidia will do whatever they want to do.

    Same thing with the Tis, they aren't always a cut down of the next bigger chip.

    GTX 1070 is GP104
    GTX 1070 ti is GP104

    Nvidia does what nvidia does.

    You have to compare it with the price class:

    GTX 1660 Ti --> 3060
    RTX 2060S --> 3060S

    Yeah - this isn't the super version though. But i agree, only giving a 3060 6gb vram is... cheap at best... planned obsolescent at worst (and it is most likely the latter).

    No... you compare it to the model it replaces...

    Nope. Nvidia cares about cost. They will not give you a GA104 card for 300 bucks.

    Yes, the various segments has taken a price hike... but you still compare them model to model...

    It will run out of vram even before you turn on the rt and dlss. Not even 1080p viable. Only a dumbass would buy a 6gb card going in 2021 while consoles have 16gb.

    Which Ampere model will be the successor of the $300 GTX 1660 Ti then, Mr. Wrong?

    This card will see a lot of sales through the OEM market I expect.

    And then there is the Xbox Series S which will likely only dedicate 4GB of VRAM. Only "dumbasses", aka the majority, would buy those, right?

    6GB will be fine with medium settings and Sampler Feedback.

    Does Nvidia announce their entire lineup at the same time? No, they do not... Highend models first, then lower tier models... just as always. Are you completely new to the tech world or what? Cant figure out if you are trolling or just clueless...

    Don't dodge my question. I'm saying Nvidia is not a charity, and they won't sell you a cut-down GA104 chip for $300 bucks. You know, the traditional xx60 series mass market product. This will be a $400 card, and yet, you throw around insults like a stupid child.

    Read reply #11 again... "Yes, the various segments has taken a price hike... but you still compare them model to model..."

    Yes, nvidia is charging more money for everything. Deal with it.

    Xbox series s goes down from official series x 8k/4k support to 1440p/1080p for a reason. That's not a small difference. And it is stronger than xbox one x which tries its best to give a cheap 4k. So. Vram does matter as much as gpu power. You cannot run a strong vehicle with weak tires. You need equality.
