    Patch 2 fixed most of the issues but performance is still subpar for vega gpu. Strange becouse Death Stranding on the same engine vega is doing pretty well

    Yesterday I played Control and Sniper Elite 4

    Control is a strange grafic game, looks ok but I think it pulls allot for the grafics it has, Got the reshade mod for pathtrace and just sticked with the medium option of samples and had 50 to 60 fps and the shadows and reflections got improved at 1440p

    Sniper Elite 4 looks amazing for the age. 120 fps at 1440p sometimes more all maxed out, the kills are something else, I did play all of the other ones.

    Will try to make a movie at some point if you guys are interested.

    Hey guys, I'm thinking of deep-cleaning my V56 Pulse (Samsung HBM, don't know if it's molded or not).

    I'd appreciate some input about what thermal paste I should use (have some cryonaut lying around, some AS5 and the Noctua that came with my D15) and more important, the type and thickness of the replacement pads (I'm thinking of putting them behind the vrm and mem chips, in touch with the backplate).

    Thanx in advance.

    So dont use the AS5 please . use the cryonaut.

    Dont clean the valey from the die to the hbm or you can kill it.

    Spread the paste well and plenty of it.

    Thats it.

    Thank you for the advice.

    I do love the AS5...still use it for my cpus. I've used it on my old card (R290) twice, first time when I cleaned the old rock-like paste (-10 degrees core, -25 vrm) and when I strapped an ACIV on it (huge difference...), I've used it on the mighty 7950, never had any problems.

    I don't think it's conductive enough to cause any problems, but since I have the cryo, it's no big deal.

    Any ideas for the thermal pads?

    It would be shame if ATI do not give this tech to RDNA2 :p (No, HBM is not needed but better ;))

    L1 Cache is HBM2 <->
    <- L2 is RAM
    <- L3 is NVMe
