Crysis Remastered is coming to the PC on 18th September 2020 (tech trailer)

Yey for the worthy remaster nay for the epic exclusivity.

 

in reference to (And let's face it, we all know this will probably be a flop given Crytek's history)
first it should be noted that crytek has nothing to do with failure.

second only game in 2007 with open source, revealing the rarity of competition unreal engine that even today can not handle lod properly

third the gameplay is excellent as well as the coherent artificial intelligence and the little seen physics to this day.
I think it is very common for them to sell us successes disguised as failures. always talking about true technology and functional development

 

So why couldn't they just release this in the first place?

 

OK, now it looks much better but they still have to show much more than that if they want my money.

 

How many million posts will be posted again saying. But can it run crysis ? We are dooooooomed

 

I'm actually excited for this even though i don't have high hopes for it this is the game that drove me into the diy computer building i started with a prebuilt HP and ended up with the q6600 on a 750i ftw board and gtx 9800+ and I've been building my own computers since.

 

So it will be cracked then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Though I think that this game will not be so good anyway. This is probably also the reason for the exlusive epic release in the first place.

No it shouldn't. Crytek isn't working with EA anymore. Crytek is also the copyright owner of the title/game, so they're free to publish it the way they want.

 

But can it run Crysis.......Remastered?

 

Soooo it finally looks like the Alpha footage from before the original (2007) game launch.... took them long enough

 

Is it API agnostic raytracing or is it VKRay and only RTX?

A lot of the press releases coming out about this preview say the following:

AFAIK VKRay only works on RTX cards atm. So basically the sentence reads like you need RTX cards.Crytek said they were working on an iteration of their Raytracing that would be accelerated further on RTX but it would be playable without it.

 

Judging by the trailer, it already doesn't.. look at the reflections on the missile racks lol.

Also they literally are accelerating it via Nvidia's RTX Vulkan extension.

 

I want to see Actual GamePlay fottage before I drop another Dime on crysis, I did enjoy II and III very much tough. I found the 1st one to be a little cheezy with the horrible acting/ voice overs ect. Lets hope they change that also.

 

yay ... i will replay this game again hopefully at 4k Ultra settings with raytracing this time , back then my 8800Ultras in sli were not enough . bring it on i say !

 

Best part is that it will be Epic, not Steam.

Yes, I hate Steam, from when I bought a half-life box, with cd's, and had to install steam to play half-life.

Crysis was very average game tbh, the graphics and physics were great but that's all.

Easy skip for me...

 

Wish it was Crysis 2 remastered. That imo was better story, better gameplay. Just needs that graphics uplift that a remastering could do. Crysis 1 was all about the foliage and island scenery, a graphics showcase with little else to show for it.
