I'm using 2004 since day one, no problem so far (VEGA 64) currently using 20.5.1

Been using same config for 2 years.

Using same kind of output with dual monitor, using the same settings, gpu mem clock stays at idle, now stays at max. Tested with the latest two amd drivers.

Don't know why I updated to 2004. Amd drivers has many problems with this windows build.

Always the same basic stuff that was fixed, gets broken again. It's annoying.

Also many problems with av receiver. Sound cuts from time to time, when turning off, sound doesn't come back to TV, it just says no output detected.

Known bugs for new drivers says:

Audio may experience instability when connected through an Audio Video Receiver via HDMI® on Radeon RX 5000 series graphics products

Well, 500 series works bad too.

Using 2004 since one week after the release (just to be sure there were no critical bugs) and no problems with VEGA64 and 20.7.2 (and earlier starting from 20.5.1 wsl) drivers.

Same here, guys. Would get hard crashes on PES2020 and Steep on my Gaming X 580 currently back on 20.4.2. Played two matches no issues since rollback.

Crashes can be due unstable overclock just like mine. I've never had any crashes but since i updated to 20.7.2 it started. Like @Alessio1989 said they could have changed something in the driver that caused this.

Everything is smooth here. Newest windows, newest monitor, newest drivers. No problems for hdr, high refresh rate, either for gaming or browsing. Shut down and reboot, all functional.

    MS games "likes" WHQL.
Just Try 20.5.1 (Jun 10) and see... :)

FreeSync, Ench.Sync & AntiLag is On.
In Forza V-sync or FPS Cap (by RTSS or Chill) is needed for smooth gameplay.

Maybe disabling freesync if enabled solves that. Or antilag switch maybe doesn't work correctly with those games especially.

Check if disabling CFG in the Exploit protection for the given exe will help with the smoothness

From my experience enhanced sync only introduces stuttering and from the listed issues it also causes black screens on some cards. Anti lag is only useful in gpu heavy scenarios giving cpu a head start. Having a slow cpu for instance i would recommend having it off.

Freesync is where its at. Im using it without two mentioned above and it works best that way.

Welp, I installed Windows 10 2004 and I downgraded almost instantly.

Rocket League was booting up weird when my screen changed resolutions. Sometimes it would boot minimized so I'd have to click the task bar icon to get it back, or sometimes it would change my screen resolution first, show me my desktop all blown up, and then go into full screen mode.

The other issue I had was deleting items off the desktop. The icon would disappear and then launching a full screen game made the icon re-appear, but when I tried to delete it again it said the file wasn't found. A restart fixed it, but it was happening every time I deleted a file from the desktop and I don't wanna restart every time I delete a file.

Downgraded back to 1909 and everything's smooth sailing again.

You know what's funny? When playing Control on my RX 580, the screen stutters every second or so, but if I turn off global reflections all together, no more stutters. I can still use screen space reflections, just not global reflections. So if you're getting stuttering in Control, try that.

Out of curiosity, are you still rocking r9 380? When are you going to switch to something else and what gpu do you plan to switch to?
