NVIDIA GeForce 451.67 WHQL Drivers: Download & Discussion

Yes, CFR has been removed from the 450 branch of drivers; the last driver CFR worked properly is 446.14. I really hope Nvidia brings it back when they release Ampere but as of now, CFR is broken. Can @ManuelG confirm?

Nvidia probably won't tell us why it got removed since never wrote when they added the CFR option either, the only official supported method is AFR.
So you have to either use that or go back to 446.14 and earlier.

 

I tried saving the text as a txt file but when I go to import it it doesn't show in the box? I have no idea what I'm doing here. Why is this even required at all, like why does Forza 7 have so many problems right now. My head hurts.

Sorted that but unhandled exception when trying to import.

 

1. if txt files arent showing up, dumb question: do you have windows set to show File Extensions? (like if you saved file.nip as file.txt but its really file.txt.nip it wouldnt show up as a txt file)

2. do you have the latest nvidia inspector? (if your version is older than the person's who exported it, it might have values that your version can't handle?) https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases

I tried exporting a profile from inspector then simply changing the text and renaming it but got that unhandled exception error.

 

Small remark regarding Destiny2

I was still at 451.48 @ dreaming city Blind well public event and somewhere halfway trough the event screen went to garbage artefacts (like bad vram). From top left corner streched down diagonally and manifested into windows.. reboot fixed it.

Seen this a while ago with one driver and now again.. otherwise it was stable in anything else.
It started when I was doing super attack with solar and while caring that blight orb.

Installed this new driver and it's been ok so far.
But funny how it only happened in that particular part of the game. I have over 1000hrs playing this game so I've seen a lot.

I also tested 3dmark (various benchmarks) and oc'ed vram to see if it will break - skydiver shows it quick, but all was ok.

Ingame maxed, except shadows at high and dof at high. In driver i now disabled forced af, just in case. Hope its ok now, although im not playing that Blind well much, but when I do im always a bit scared if i see it again xD

 

I just had something similar in Warframe with 451.67. Doing a recently added quest mission, and at one point it shows a cutscene (in game engine) and there was something that looked like corruption all over a lighting effect. I don't know if it was supposed to look like that as an effect, or if something was not being drawn correctly/got corrupted. It did not persist and has been fine since then so, no idea.

 

He's not going to comment on things that were never announced.

 

I'm still using 451.48 and haven't encountered this in Destiny 2, i'm waiting for the hotfix since theres no point updating twice in a week lol.

 

I mean, who doesn't love installing nvidia drivers?!??

 

Please hotfix save me from my Forza 7 woes. I have had some success with Assassin's Creed Origins, though. My 2070S is noticeably faster than my AMD card. Performance is pretty solid at 3200x1800.

Read up ^ I'm having problems knowing what to do with that. Ok with building and hardware, not so competent with software.

you save it as text and import it. if your browser is opening it in notepad, you've screwed something up in the browser file handling

I moved back to 451.48 for some reason it plays rdr2 much smoother than this driver for me it’s totally noticeable. I can’t recall seeing a driver have such an impact to game play in a long time.

 

Well Forza 7 works just fine now.

Is there a hack to help with Forza Horizon 3 on Turing? I never did that working ok on those cards.
