This driver is a dud. Everyone should just use 450.99 until the next official release later this month.

Yeah I have been running this driver on 2004 and it has been working great. No issues. 450 series gives me stutter in BL3 that aren't present in 446.14

    Not really:

    Open Issues:
    • [VR}: HDCP errors occur with Valve Index VR. [2967616]
    • [Call of Duty: Modern Warfare]: Color banding occurs in the game after enabling Image Sharpening from the NVIDIA Control Panel. [2889337]
    • [Notebook][H-Clone]: With the integrated graphics processor as the clone source, display settings cannot be changed from the NVIDIA Control Panel. [200594188]
    • [SLI][Doom Eternal]: Corruption occurs in the game upon opening the Steam overlay. [200593967]
    • [Call of Duty - Warzone]: Freestyle does not work. (200593020)
    • [Forza Motorsport 7]: The curb may display a black strip during a race on certain tracks. [2781776]
    • [Zombie Army: Dead War 4][Ansel/Freestyle]: The Ansel & Freestyle tabs are unselectable. [2810884]
    • [Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege][Vulkan][G-SYNC]: When playing the game in Vulkan mode with G-SYNC enabled, flickering occurs after switching the game between full-screen and windowed mode.[200578641] To work around, either disable G-SYNC or play using an API other than Vulkan.
    • Windows Mixed Reality headsets may experience jitter when connected to to HDMI port linked to integrated graphics on NVIDIA Optimus notebook [2971312] -> Fixed in next Game Ready Driver
    • Windows 10 May 2020 Update: Some users may see random momentary lag when bringing up the Windows Start menu if G-SYNC is enabled [2998124] -> Fixed in next Game Ready Driver
The next driver will be "fine".

It will also have open issues like every set, unless you plan on fixing them.

The next driver will have actual true support for Windows 10 2004.

..and? What does that have to do with open issues?

We still do not know what is triggering this. Some users claim to have to log into their Google accounts daily. The logs don't seem to show anything so far.that helps diagnose the issue. If you can think of something specific to your account that we can try, please do let us know.

Any chance I could request that you try driver 451.22 from the URL below?
    http://developer.download.nvidia.co...local_installers/cuda_11.0.1_451.22_win10.exe

It is a CUDA package so it contains the driver inside. You do not have to install the entire software though. Simply choose Custom installation -> then uncheck CUDA from the list of options so that only the display driver components are selected. This bug (when hardware accelerated GPU scheduling is enabled( should be fixed with this driver. Please let me know if you still see it.

@ManuelG could you give us any idea when we might get the 450 Game Ready driver? Nvidia said in their press release from May 27 that the 446.14 driver supports the Windows May Update, but that's false. It's not a WDDM 2.7 driver and it doesn't support any of the DirectX 12 Ultimate features.

Nvidia's press release said it would support those features.

This driver idles at 300mhz with or without "hardware-acclerated GPU scheduling" :)

Would like to know this as well.

Hopefully the new driver also adds some new DLSS 2.0 games and RTX improvements. It has been a while.

    Source?

They bragged about their driver supporting the May Update, and then listed all of the features in that update:

    https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/valorant-game-ready-driver/

What "support" were they referring to? It doesn't support WDDM 2.7, it doesn't support DX12U, and many people have experienced a regression in performance. Even the benchmarks show that this driver resulted in a degradation in performance.

You could have stayed on the previous Game Ready driver and you would have had the same amount of "support" for the May Update.

On my system, performance stays the same from previus GRD. Tested some insider drivers with WDDM 2.7 and experienced worse performance overall. This at least shows that nvidia (on the drivers I could access and on my oldish architecture) couldn't deploy WDDM 2.7 on their drivers correctly yet.

Don't panic, better wait to have good support for 2004 features than a rushed driver.

which driver did you use? mineria found 451.22 to reclaim some of the performance lost in 450.82 and 99
