That would take the 3600 + motherboard price to £270-£280. Not £250. As the 3600 is £180 in the UK.

Also, Tomahawk MAX is £130. So now we're talking £180 + £130. That's £310. Nowhere near the £250 you were talking about.

Not bad results for the 10600K makes me wonder how the i3 chips will preform against the 3100x and the 3300x.
Also not bad results for the i9 chip either.

Part of your information is wrong. Neither the 3500 chips are going up against the i3 chips The 3100X and the 3300X are the chips going up against the i3 chips.

I still don't understand what he's trying to "inform" us about.

Neither do I. Whatever he is trying to tell us that part of it is wrong.

It was just a random post, out of the blue, matching up CPUs for whatever reason. The guy is weird.

Lol where are you getting your prices, your local corner dealer? I've never seen either at those ones.

Yeah you can show their capabilities with a top tier gpu running games low resolution, but its not real world gaming performance because it does not make sense in real life to spend 1200$ on a gpu and gave a 100$ monitor.
Also your argument does not stand about future gaming. Think about the new consoles that will dictate the way to code an engine. Most will move towards heavy multi-thread engines while rendering at a native 2.5k res. The new 1080p.

Is it me or do both Hilberts samples seem crap overclockers? 5G with that voltage!

I don't think he messes too much with min-maxing his overclocking. I've noticed this in his GPU reviews. He simply slaps on voltage to hit a frequency. Quite often it seems like an overkill. It's purely to get OC performance numbers.

is there any info on load (100%~) temps without overclocking on air cooling?

Yea, OCUK is so overpriced. It really shouldn't be considered "street price" when it's 20% more expensive than Amazon...

Not necessarily, quite often they have great prices, I use them a lot, even for price checking. This time they're a bit off.

Actually, the £155 price on the 3600 renders the 3300x and 3100x completely irrelevant. Dead CPUs. The 3300x costs £6 less than the 3600. Nobody should buy it. Like I've been saying all along.

You are. :p I talk about both about price and performance opponents. There is no reason to fall further below in amd parts. Those are exactly as close as they can be for real. ;)

Perfect matches. 3100x and 3300x aren't viable. There is no opponent to fight with so weak and cheap cpus. Unless you want to support Intel's price range. Amd has also cheaper athlons.

You do realise that the 3100 and 3300 have more threads than 3500, right? Overall better CPUs.

Irrelevant comment. 8600k was stronger in almost everything from 7700k. True cores win threads. So 3500/X is superior to 3100/3300!

6/6 CPU won't beat 4/8 CPU in multithreaded tasks. Unless they're generations apart.

Anyway, der8auer says this is the easiest overclocking platform EVER. 7ghz+

Also you do realize that the 3500/3500X are Chinese only CPUs which means it you can't get them normally. So your posting is irrelevant.
