I just got 450.82 from Windows Update, so any issues are probably solved.
I'm on Insider Fast, build 19608 and I just got this new driver together with the update to 19613.
NB: the driver installed before the build update.

Only if all the above mentioned bugs (read the topic: problems with HDR10 output, video playback with MPC-HC+madvr, etc) are all triggered by OS bugs (with 19041 up to .207) and are fixed in recent Fast Ring OS builds. So, very very unlikely (these seem to be driver bugs).

I'll check HDR10 in a couple games (Resident Evil 7, Far Cry 5, Mortal Kombat 11, Doom Eternal), PowerDVD and YouTube as soon as the build upgrade finishes.
    I'll keep you posted.

Well, HDR works fine in everything I tested.
I don't have the image sharpening settings though.
    Spanish Windows here.

Thanks for the info. That's strange. So your display returns to SDR mode after turning HDR off (check the OSD of the display, please) and SDR colors look fine (not even a bit different from before you turned HDR on)? May be it is a bug in Windows then.

Well, this is awkward. I had misread the reports and thought the issues were when switching INTO HDR and not out of it.

Yeah, I can't make the TV come out of HDR at all.
I even tried disabling HDR from Windows' display properties, and forcing 8bpc in Nvidia's control panel.
The TV still reports HDR10/BT.2020 no matter what.
The colors remain just fine, obviously.

About enabling sharpening, yeah, I had seen the regedit option, but from what I've seen, while the option does appear, it doesn't actually work.
Not that I use it anyway.

I wouldn't recommended otherwise (that sharpness setting shouldn't even exist IMO).

Forcing 8bit shan't disable HDR10 (and DolbyVision is designed to be embedded into 8bit RGB) at OS or driver level (some games like Warframe will do though but that's a completely arbitrary decision on the developer's part), the GPU will do some nice dithering from 10 to 8 bit.

NVAPI-HDR10 is even more problematic than Win10-HDR10. The image flickers between correct and incorrect colors with MPC-HC+madvr (and then the display will similarly stuck in HDR when MPC-HC is closed).

    Huh? What do you mean?
How am I supposed to get HDR10 (the 10 meaning 10 bpc) in Windows' desktop if I force 8 bpc in the control panel?

unrelated, cuda is working fine in this driver even though support info shows it as unknown.

Easy. HDR10 is mostly a color space standard (basically a few 2D CIE x,y color space coordinate points for Red, Green, Blue, White and a 1D parametric tone curve for brightness which together make up a 3D color volume space) and mainly for videos (Blu-Ray and online streaming).
The bit depth is standardized at 10bit for videos and display devices but it can vary in practice. It's fixed to 10bit for Blu-Ray and online streamed videos for compatibility but it could work just as well with 12bit output as it works with 8bit+dithering (technically it works with any bit depth, even 6bit wit no dithering, the only issue is severe banding at that case).
Actually, I hoped games will support up to 16bit (and let the GPU dither to whatever is in use between the GPU and the display).

After testing 445.87 and 450.82, 450.82 is better in DX 12 due to little stuttering in Windows 10 20H1 Build .208. waiting for the hotfix which in my guess going to be next week when Call of Duty MW2 Remaster comes out.

Could it be that with 450.82 I'm getting brief screen flashes when scrolling around in Chrome?

sharpening, ultra low latency mode and silk smoothness and others that we havent realized yet doesnt work in both 445.87 and 450.82...

How can you tell? (Did you use a camera, or some software-only diagnostic tool?)

if you play street fighter 4 or 5 or fighting games as a PRO and using the same O/S with two different drivers 442.59 and 450.82 there is no need to use thirdparty software or a thing to measure the difference...

i don't think mw2 isn't getting a driver (opinion) based on manuelg saying there won't be a driver for some time, hotfixes aren't GRD's technically.

Nvidia Driver 445.87 already has COD MW2 Remaster in the driver, the hotfix will be base on 445.87 and will fix HDR, etc which should come out soon because HDR works but very bright, going back to a old driver fix the HDR issue.
