NVIDIA CEO Hands Out Raises, No Job Cuts surrounding COVID-19

While i'm sure you really enjoy your headphone setup, but anyone who purchases something as useless as unobtanium 3m silver cables for the low low price of $400-500 and thinks its a great deal, yet has an issue with spending a half that in extra on a graphics card is just kind of... how should i say it....

 

not there in the head.

 

Let's say "different priorities".

 

While what is considered as low or high price is subjective, let's get few facts out of the way.

• NVIDIA spends ~5 billion dollars PER GENERATION on R&D. Most of that gets used in GeForce products.
• Something like zero USD went into R&D for your cable.
• 2080 Ti comes with at least $300 worth of components.
• Cable BoM is $10 USD if we're generous.

Congrats on headphones! They must be something else; truly. But cable... gimme a break dog
If you paid more than $50 for that cable, 2080 Ti is a steal in comparison.

 

You missed the bit where it will last at least 20 years, not in the same league.

One of the major pluses of this headphone is the sheer amount of micro detail.
Silver cable exposes a ton more micro detail.
You can imagine what silver cable does when combined with these headphones, it really is spectacular!
It wasnt wasted money I assure you.
