Do they have the finances for that? I suppose it makes more sense to remaster them all and get some money in at first.

I expect raytracing in all remasters.
In C1 I'd love to see better AI, it's often too dumb to care to fight against. I mean, they drown in water even when their head is above the water.

I wish they could do both...it's been quite a while since I finished the first Crysis. :D

Is it just me who thinks that gameplay wise the series got better over time, but story got worse? I really liked the story and atmosphere of Crysis 1 (Warhead was a nice addition)
but it was a shame they tossed everything they had in dumpster and pretty much pretended in the second game that Crysis 1 didn't even happen. Aliens got different, Nomad
was not even mentioned I think, and the whole game was set in a city...

And some of the "levels" were really cool, as someone already mentioned. The tank rush and in the end defending the super carrier... Epic.

I would gladly pay some for a modernized version of the first game. The later ones... eh... that depends.

Nvidia already did Voxel based RT/lighting and shadowing. It's bad for a whole number of reasons, some of which are highlighted in Crytek's demo. That's also not to mention that Crytek already said they will leverage DXR for their solution - they essentially step the quality from mesh to voxel based on how much detail they need.

But yeah their solution for non-mesh RT is extremely similar to Nvidia's VXGI.

Do anyone else get bored of Crysis once the aliens in the story appeared ? The sandbox part of the opening beech is what people remember the most.

RTX will slow the game down to 30 to 20 FPS. So why bother?

RTX doesn't do that to games now.. so why would it do that to a game that's psuedo-implementing it?

I was looking at the 'next gen' consoles when I said it. I assumed it was universal. What is psuedo RTX anyway?

Cryteks RT implementation uses a mix of voxel RT and their own implementation of mesh RT. They can accelerate it via RTX but it's not DXR based like every other RTX implementation. Without RTX they demoed the tech running on a Vega 56 at 30fps at 1080p. At half RT resolution they claim they can hit 1440p at 40 fps. So presumably on a 1080Ti they'd easily do 60 and on a RTX card with an accelerated version they could hit way more.

Ray tracing? This means the "Can it play Crysis?" meme is going to return in all it´s glory???

This a million times. This one really deserves a remake because of how old and how good it is.

It will come to new consoles and by then we'll probably have rdna2 desktop cards aswell. Raytracing for everyone. :D

I stopped playing at a point where it's like Jurassic park? In a big fenced off part. If my memory is correct.

I am so tired of the remasters. There are so many of them. It's like an admission of inability to create new outstanding games that are unique, as it was the case in the past with titles like Bladur's Gate, Starcraft, WoW (because it was so large scale and brought the MMO genre to the masses), Deus Ex, and yeah, the first Crysis.
Just make something new and exciting.
