    COD: INFINITE WARFARE - GTX 970 - 4-WAY SLI - FINAL CONCLUSION #2 - 3/20/20:

Continuation from the previous post. Please view the previous post(FINAL CONCLUSION #1) before continuing, PAGE 22, bottom most of the page, thank you.

Custom made bits here they are BUT FIRST:

WARNING ABOUT MY CUSTOM MADE BITS:

110% GUARANTEE TO WORK WITH ONLY, REPEAT, ONLY WITH THE NVIDIA GTX 970 FAMILY, THOSE WITH 980 OR 980TI'S, IT HAS NEVER BEEN TESTED WITH THOSE, SO BE STRONGLY AWARE OF THIS BEFORE CONTINUING, AND ONLY GUARANTEE TO WORK WITH WIN 10 X64 RS2(15063.V1703/RTM) ONLY, FAILURE TO MEET BOTH OF THESE, I WILL GUARANTEE 0%, SO MAKE SURE OF THIS BEFORE YOU CONTINUE.

Before proceeding any further, first grab a copy of this version of Nvidia Inspector:

    https://github.com/DeadManWalkingTO/NVidiaProfileInspectorDmW/releases/tag/v3.5.0.0

Normally right now, Instead of typing down piece by piece, I just tell everyone to export:

All driver profiles(Nvidia Text format), do some changes then import it, everything should be there.

I will go down everything right here and including import/export method.

First open up that particular version of nvidia inspector noted above, and make the following changes below:

    1 - Compatibility:

    Ambient Occlusion Compatibility: 0x00000018 (Aion)

    SLI Broadcast (DX1x) Bits: 0x60000189

    SLI Compatibility Bits (DX10+DX11): 0x8CD815F5(4-WAY ONLY)----0x0CD815F5(2-Way to 3-Way ONLY)

    SLI Specific Hacks (DX1x): 0xB0000A68

    2 - Sync and Refresh:

I normally have ALL Gsync disabled/Off

Max Pre-rendered frames: Use the 3D application setting

Vsync: Use the 3D application setting

    Vertical Sync Tear Control: Adaptive

    5 - Common:

    Ambient Occlusion Setting: Performance

    Ambient Occlusion Usage: Enabled

CUDA - FORCE P2 STATE: Off

    Multi-Display/Mixed Acceleration: 0x00000006(Quadro Gpu's)

    6 - SLI:

    Antialiasing - SLI AA: Enabled

    # of GPU'S to use on SLI Rendering mode: FOUR(If using 2 or 3 gpu's, switch to the right amount)

NVIDIA predefined # of GPU's to use in SLI rendering mode: AutoSelect

NVIDIA: predefined # of GPU's to use on SLI Rendering mode(DX1x): FOUR(If using 2 or 3 gpu's, switch to the right amount)

NVIDIA predefined SLI mode in DX 10: AFR of SFR(4-WAY ONLY, if others, use ONLY AutoSelect)

SLI Rendering mode: AFR of SFR(4-WAY ONLY, if others, use ONLY AutoSelect)

    8 - Extra:

    ASYNC10_NVAPI_MODE: 0x00000003 ALLOW_ALL - Allow all optimizations

ASYNC10_OOO_QUERY_LIMIT: 0x0000000A Default - How many out of order query getData calls are allowed before stalling the Async Device.

MCSFRLOADBALANCE: 0x28384382 Static - each GPU receives a equal amount of pixels to process.

    PS_DX10_SURFACE_PLACEMENT_HIGHEST_PRIORITY (DX1x): 0x83B7BC1A RTs/ZBs use maximum priority.

Head over to Unknown or Unknown PREDEFINED nvidia settings by scrolling all the way down but first, click on the magnify glass on top of the program then make the following changes, be careful while doing it, if you don't see this, I will provide another useful way:

    0x002533F7 (1 Profile): 0x00000001 (Battlefield V)

    0x00473935 (1 Profile): 0x00000001 (Battlefield V)

    0x00D98F93 (1 Profile): 0x00000010 (Battlefield 1)

0x10AAA36C (91 Profiles): 0x00000001 (The Talos Principle, City Bus Simulator, Catzilla, Call of Duty: United Offensive, etc, etc, etc.

0x10FD4C5F (7 Profiles): 0x01F296C1 (Catzilla, Unigine: Heaven 4.0 demo, 3DMark, Unigine: Valley demo, 3DMark14, Unigine: Heaven demo, 3DMark Ice Storm)

To those who can not find the Unknown ID settings listed above, there is a work around:

Open up the nvidia inspector profile program, on top of the program, move your cursor to export user defined settings, then on the drop down list, select the very last one, should say:

Export all drive profiles (NVIDIA TEXT FORMAT)

Next, open up the saved document with something like notepad, then Find the following:

    "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare"

Then you will come across the first line, should say:

Profile "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" UserSpecified=true

Underneath that, Delete all of it, and copy and paste this below, Make sure you do proper spacing between each line after the line:

Profile "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" UserSpecified=true

4 spaces to be exact, The end Profile line does NOT need any spacing and here it is:

Save the Document, then Import the saved document with your nvidia inspector, on top of the program, move cursor to:

    Import user defined settings,

Select the 2nd item, should say:

Import (REPLACE) all driver profiles (NVIDIA TEXT FORMAT)

Everything should be there, including ALL the custom made bits, 8 - Extra, and ALL of the unknown or unknown PREDEFINED nvidia settings.

People with 2-way or 3-way sli, Just change the portion where it says FOUR to its respected setting, thanks.

As remainder to all, 4-Way Users, ONLY USE:

    AFR of SFR(Combo)

All others, switch to Autoselect, thanks.

Also, one more, thing, very important, for those who wants to run 2-way or 3-way, Sli Compatibility (DX10+DX11) Bits:

0x0<<~~ set it to 0, for 4-way, set it to 8.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GRAND FINAL CONCLUSION UNDER 4-WAY SLI FOR COD: INFINITE WARFARE:

Yes, game does infact work under 4-Way mode, It scales from good/Excellent, depending on what you are doing and the location.

But My final Verdict is this:

If you already got 2 GTX 970's, you are pretty much all set to go, put it on 2400p, and crank that SMAA to X2, as that will provide better overall image quality then jacking your Render Scale resolution to crazy numbers as by doing this, takes alot of hit, whereas, SMAA X2, not to bad.

As before, This whole purpose to see the game if it will actually infact Scale under 4-way mode and yes it does, but it's really not needed, as SMAA X2 @ 2400p provides better overall image quality then the test I personally conducted, render scale @ 6.5k.

So yes, scaling does 100% work with this game, as before, Unless your really tuning the hell out of this game or what not or to have a personal SLI tuning project to see if it will work in 4-way sli, then I would say Very Highly Recommended but I would personally and highly recommend going with 2 GTX 970's, Much better MS(Frametime), Crank the SMAA to X2, better overall image quality, and one fast paced game.

4-WAY SLI: ALTHOUGH IT 100% INFACT WORKS, IT IS REALLY NOT NEEDED, AS 2 GTX 970'S @ 2400P W/SMAA T2X2 PROVIDES BETTER IQ THEN MY RENDER SCALE RESOLUTION TEST(6.5K).

    PERSONAL RECOMMENDATIONS: 2-WAY SLI.

ALTHOUGH THAT DOES NOT TAKE IT AWAY, AS IF MORE POWERFUL GPU WAS TUNED IN SIMILAR FASHION, CAN MAKE BETTER USE OF THE SMAA X2 AT SIMILAR RENDER SCALE.

OTHER THEN THAT, 4-WAY SCALING IN GENERAL, I GIVE IT, DESPITE ISSUES:

2 THUMBS UP, ESPECIALLY A RENDERING MODE WHICH I REALLY NEVER USE:

    AFR of SFR(HYBRID/COMBO)

As a reference again, to those who unfamiliar with AFR of SFR, take a look at this:

    https://docs.nvidia.com/gameworks/content/technologies/desktop/sli.htm

Scroll down to AFR of SFR

To my knowledge, no one really uses this method, if so, extremely rare, me personally, I have not, so this rendering method, confirm on my side, 100% works, so take it what its worth.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GRAPHIC DRIVERS USED: THESE ARE MODIFIED:

    NVIDIA QUADRO DRIVERS: 432.28

SYSTEM RAM USAGE: HIGH AS 20 GB+

    OVERALL GAME STABILITY: EXCELLENT

OVERALL GAME TUNING SENSITIVITY: 0 CONCERNS/0 PROBLEMS.

    OS USED: WIN 10 x64 (15063.2108/VERSION: 1703/RS2/RTM)

    CPU UTILITY PROGRAM USED: THROTTLESTOP

    STORAGE USED: 2 SAMSUNG 950 PRO(512GB) IN STRIPPED(RAID 0) MODE.

    MOTHERBOARD USED: SUPERMICRO X10drg-q

    MOTHERBOARD BIOS USED: 3.1

INTEL CHIPSET DRIVER USED: 10.1.18010.8141+10.1.18263.8193 update

TOTAL TUNING/PERFORMANCE MONITORING/TESTING TIME(INCLUDING ALL STUTTERING INVOLVED AND WORKAROUNDS/OVERALL STABILITY CHECKS: 50-60 HRS EASY.

And one more final thing to all:

As previously noted before on this thread, I will be announcing future games to be worked on that previously never mentioned in this particular thread, it is the Final Countdown to the Next Tier Card, 30 games to be exact, As before, My next one could be the 980 or perhaps the 980ti's, I have not really made final decision, I said before, that I would start going step by step, to the normal 980, but Final decision here as I have not made my mind on it yet, the final countdown starts after 30 games that previously never mentioned before, although, I will be going back to previous game and trying to improve its overall performance, but this next game coming up, never mention before, will be the first countdown to the next tier card, game will be tagged #30, it's gonna be a awhile till the next tier card in general so stay tuned for more updates.

CURRENT UP TO DATE STATS ON OVERALL SYSTEM STABILITY - GTX 970 - 4-WAY SLI - 3/21/20:

So its been like 2 months or more ever Since I got the Supermicro X10drg-q Motherboard, and just very recently, I was doing Folding @ home for like 6+ hrs or so, all 4 gpu's were being fully utilized, cpu? Quite a bit of it, and overall?

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent overall system stability...

Not a single Bsod, or anything, and just to let everyone know, while under extreme brutal test with Folding @ home, all 4 gpu temps are well within range, With door to the room WIDE OPEN, upper 60's, if door to where the system is SHUT, very very low 70c's, mainly gpu #2 and #3.

    Excellent, thanks for reading.

    THE TECHNOMANCER - CURRENT STATS - GTX 970 - 4-WAY SLI - UPDATE - 3/22/20

Current stats so far into this game, was working on this game like month back ago, but I already got a major heads up on scaling so I hold on to this game and worked on others like COD: Infinite warfare and others, back on this game with full force.

Alright, Things are looking Very Very nice with this game, Currently, I am working on certain areas/spots/locations where scaling goes down, usually when it goes down is when your looking up to the sky in a certain angle, I don't really care for that to much, looking over a cliff, and only small stuff showing up in the background, and others, these spots(ONLY MINOR), scaling goes down, the only time it wants to go DOWN, Way DOWN is when your looking up to the sky, so there is real no concern about this.

Also, to keep the overall scaling potential on all 4 Gpu's, SSAO, MUST be used, but there is a downfall here, other games have this issue, it usually indicates that certain settings is to high and what not but its the only way to bring the overall scaling potential across 4 gpu's to their top potential.

Ok back to where I was saying about SSAO, the down fall is, when your looking straight, moving left and right, if you keep doing this back and forth, you can see some very unusual frame skips inbetween, despite MS(Frametime) seems fine and the overall fps seems fine, usually if you look at the ground while doing this, you can see the transition while your moving left and right, not completely smooth, there is some jerkin'/wobblin' motion, again, this usually indicate that certain setting in the graphic setting has to be adjusted, that or the resolution, truthfully every game is going to be different and their reaction to these settings will be different, so, there is many variables to deal with here, especially under 4-way sli, it could be anything, and I mean anything.

So main culprit on my side is SSAO, what's very interesting is this, if I put my SSAO to high rather then normal, it seems the transition while moving around seems smoother, all there its still there, it does not jerk as much.

Another culprit is resolution, so be careful of it.

Also, another thing here, Talk about Extreme DEJA VU, if you turn on TAA with this game, man talk about being High as hell with like a 12 pack of beers to go along with it.

I did what I could to remove this effect, I can NOT get rid of it, so therefore:

Under NO circumstances whatsoever that TAA shall be turned on, DO NOT turn it on, thank you.

So right now I am using SSAO under High, resolution set to 4095x2559(4.1K)

Slightly higher then 2400p, I did this because, like before, certain spots has kinda low scaling, so I am doing whatever I can to beef it up a notch, and yes IT does help, and yes I am watching that jerkin' motion as well, I am closely monitoring everything to make SURE everything appears to be smooth, and @ very playable performance.

What's rather interesting, Rendering mode of choice is again, just like COD: Infinite Warfare, is non other then the Very Very Rarely used:

    AFR of SFR(Hybrid/Combo)

If people are unaware of this setting and how it works, take a look at this:

    https://docs.nvidia.com/gameworks/content/technologies/desktop/sli.htm

Everything is set to Maximum, Dynamic resolution slider = ALL the way to the right(FULL resolution), and AA set to FXAA(I had absolutely no choice)

Those of you who are tuning this game in SLI or 4-way sli configuration mode, and have same exact gpu family as mine(GTX 970), open up your nvidia inspector program, Click on the magnify glass on top of the program, scroll down to the Unknown id settings and make this change below, seems to help my fps quite a bit, I have tried others, this seems the best, I am still working on it, but try this one for the time being:

    0x00ACBCC1 (1 Profile): 0x00000011 (Star Wars: Battlefront II (2017))

Other then the spots that needs to be further improve on, how does it scale in general?????

Screams like Hell Fire, in other words, Absolute Brutal/Excellent.

And final heads up, Yes, All my gpu's(4 total), shows 4.072GBB being utilized, so ALL of my Vram is being used, so again, make sure you got the system ram to make up for it(Buffer).

From what I can see, I am right about 13-14gb+ of Main system ram being utilized.

Also, While upon loading up saved games, I can clearly see background seems it has kinda hard time loading up at first, everything will pick up eventually real quick, there might be some stuttering in the beginning, but it will quickly go away, again, due to out of vram from what I am seeing, but whatever it takes to get the game to scale, once the game settles down, it seems to play extremely smooth, if there is stuttering in-between, usually in the beginning of the cutscene(NOT ALL), and small minor places, but, I wouldn't worry about it, really not a serious issue.

So always continue to check back later for further updates, this game shouldn't take to long on where I stand, cause of the major heads up on scaling I had right off the back, saves alot of time, just certain things needs to be improve on.

    -----WORK IN PROGRESS-----

    THE TECHNOMANCER - GTX 970 - 4-WAY SLI - PRELUDE TO FINAL CONCLUSION - UPDATE - 3/24/20:

Ready to do some performance readings, And for the best possible experience from 2-way and up, and to keep the overall Scaling potential high at all times, And keep it smooth as possible, here it is:

    2 Gpu's: Resolution @ 3071x1919(A bit higher then 1600p/Native), Everything Maxed out except AA(FXAA).

3 GPU's: Resolution @ 3840x2160, SSAO set to High, Texture Set to HIGH, some places, like after the first major boss is defeated, your in a town district area, some places in this area, you MUST put the texture to Medium, otherwise, some spots you will experience a very Strong stutter, Also, certain cut-scenes, like the one after you defeat the First major boss, this particular cut-scene, if SSAO is set to high, you will experience very jerky motion in-between each frame, to keep this at bay, SSAO MUST be set to normal, and if for any reason, you might have decreased scaling potential in certain areas/spots, try having SSAO to high, I would NOT increase the Base resolution(Native) any further then 2160p, as certain areas, the overall scaling performance in general, are very carefully checked along with the SSAO, As some places, like the town district(After first boss), in this area, some places, even under 3-way, fps is below 60, so for this reason, it is very strongly recommended not go any higher then 2160, I am closely observing overall scaling potential and its performance in certain areas, but this is the only way to keep the scaling at top notch level, AA = FXAA.

4 GPU's: Resolution set to @ least 2400p and 4095x2559(For best overall scaling potential), SSAO set to high, Texture set to high(Or like mentioned before on 3 Gpu's, about certain situations, SSAO MUST again set to normal to minimize certain situations in certain locations, AA = FXAA.

I will be conduction a very interesting test, never done before on other games.

2-Way Sli = I will do its above mentioned settings and also 1 Gpu performance readings, I will also do like I normally do with all my other games, 2-Way Sli performance readings @ 4 Gpu quality settings then back to 1 Gpu reading, so both will have 2 separate results.

3-Way & 4-Way Sli Modes = Same as above mentioned, same similar procedure.

Also, Very important I found out just recently, Anything above 4059x2559 from my Native Resolution(2560x1600), I notice the overall AA image quality in general, is worse, so anything higher then 4059x2559 = lower overall image quality, not only that, more jerky motion while moving, so keeping it @ 4059x2559 is absolute tops for 4-Way.

This apparently is the only game I am aware, on my monitor, anything higher then 4059x2559, overall Image quality goes down, I have tried on my 2 1080ti's in the past, custom DSR registry, @ 8k(4800p), and never had a loss of image quality, also, last game I worked on, COD: Infinite Warfare, doesn't seem to have this issue as well, so those who are tuning this game, depending on your monitor and what not, be aware of this.

    One more last thing:

When doing crafting on the table, when viewing your weapon to be crafted, the background itself is flashing like mad crazy, but not the actual weapon itself, I am finding a work around this issue as we speak.

Here are some videos before I do my final conclusion to this game:

Check back later, thanks for reading.

Just finding this thread and I very much appreciate your efforts.

I am trying to get Star Citizen to work with SLI, could you provide any tips for Profile adjustments? I am running single card until they either release better support for it or I have time to tinker with the SLI profile.

    Currently running 2080ti x2 in a 3440x1440

Yes, I have tried running this in SLI mode(2-Way) on my last 980ti's, although it worked perfect, one problem, as SLI in general does not like it, TAA, Majority of the games I tested that uses TAA, it does not like it, I tried all sorts of stuff to see if I can counterattack it or completely neutralize it, working on that particular issue on The Technomancer.

You should be able to run that game ALOT higher then the resolution your running on with 2 2080ti's...

For reference, I normally look at this particular site if need be:

Make sure you use the Auto-translate function on your browser.

I am still waiting for the Squadron 42(Single Player), that's the one I been waiting for, supposedly the beta is out, what? towards end of this year, I personally doubt it but that's what they are aiming.

I'll look in to it but 2 totally different Gpu familes, so going to be very different.

What's your SLI Compatibility (DX10+DX11) Bits looking now?

I took a few screenshots to hopefully capture the settings you are looking for. These are default settings other than me flipping SLI to single card and AUTO.

Ever Tried Putting your Sli rendering mode to Auto select, and put the # of gpu's to 2?

Also, just for kicks, under your Sli Compatibility (DX10+DX11) Bits:

0x00000<<~~ Ever tried putting it to 1??

    Leave the:

0x0<<~~ this one to 0 and then try it, if that does't work, try using 1 or 2.

Again, we both are using 2 different family gpu's, so things are going to react WAY different.

Let me finish up The Technomancer, doing my final conclusion, I'll look into this game more, let me finish this first, I'll try to download the game(Haven't played in long time), I'll look into it.

I'll try it under 2-Way mode, Do some quick tuning on it to see how it will react.

Personally, If TAA infact is not working under sli, which I 100% suspect on your side, I would Very Strongly Recommend using one card over 2, even if the scaling was indeed perfect, for me, I rather choose overall AA Image quality then anything any day IF I was really playing the game long term..., you got one hell of a card my friend, lets say for example, if one card will give you 60+ fps no problems with TAA turned on @ 4k, and lets say you want to you use two with perfect scaling, BUT in turn, Completely massive drop in overall Image Quality, I would choose one card over 2 for long term play, any day of the week.

I remember playing this game with 2 980ti's one time, under sli mode, I was like, man, scaling is excellent but man the overall AA image quality Sucks big time, then it took some time afterwards then it finally hit me, I then remember that one particular game called: Deus Ex - Mankind Divided had the same EXACT problem as star citizen and the only way to make TAA work is disabling Sli itself and only run on one gpu, I did this with Star Citizen during that time frame, and I said Holy Smokes, TAA is finally kicking in and looks ALOT cleaner, Holy Sweet Jesus, BIG difference.

Just one 2080ti is almost on par to my Quad GTX 970 with Excellent scaling, almost neck to neck, so you got one hell of a card there and deserve to be pushed to its absolute limits, you should play that game @ 4k or beyond with TAA with absolutely no problems.

An Example with The Technomancer along with TAA, I mise well mention it now since I mentioned about it:

Example here: Lets say playing the game at 1600p(2560x1600/16-10 Aspect Ratio), with TAA turned on, really and I mean really pay close attn. to every minute pixel detail, wether moving or Static(no movement/stationary), after very very close observation on the overall Image quality, Switch it to 2400p(3840x2400) with FXAA turned on, Really play very close attn., you will clearly see, that the one with the 1600p with TAA provides superior overall Image quality over 4k(2400p) W/fxaa, I even tried a program I don't really use to often, Reshade/SweetFX, I tried messing with the FXAA/SMAA, and still, 1600p + TAA provides Superior Image Quality over 2400p w/FXAA+SMAA, I didn't want to mention about this until the final conclusion of that game, but mise well now.

Also, with some adjustment with the game, now the game looks much cleaner then it does @ 4k and it moves up to 60fps and sometimes even more, with just one GTX 970, so all you hard core tuners out there, if your Tuning a game that has TAA, and your doing custom resolution, Be absolutely 110% aware about this at all time, If tuning the game just to get the game to scale = no problems, but if your after Image quality, you will be disappointed.

    Thanks again.

    UPDATE:

Currently Downloading Star Citizen as we speak, so let me look into it on my side, thanks.

Thank you for starting to look into this!

I know there are more people than myself looking for help in getting SLI to work at least a little better than AFR2 from Nvidia Control pannel.

For myself, I would be happy with just better scaling and utilization of the GPU's with a slightly higher headroom of FPS for such places like Lorevile. The game already looks amazing, and for 85% of the places a single 2080ti works just fine. There are certain maps/cities that could just use that extra card is all.

    Thank you for the help!

Also for the "0x00000<<~~ Ever tried putting it to 1??" , could you please be explicit and give the entire HEX address you are referring to just to prevent any confusion?

    Thank you again!

Game is finally finished downloading, as before, I am still working on the final conclusion to The Technomancer, Still need to finish up small stuff in the game and writing my full report on it, so you all, be sure to look for it soon...

Afterwards, I promise to look into Star Citizen under 2-Way Sli mode.

Was going to hop on to Kings of Lorn: The Fall of Ebris after The Technomancer, but I promise to look into Star Citizen first, wouldn't be a bad idea anyway, been long time since I been on it and Curious how 4-way would react while I am at it, thank for mentioning about it, be sure to look for continuous effort on my 4-way sli projects to come and regards about the hex in Star Citizen, look for a reply soon, give me some time, not going to be long, thanks.

So far I have noticed that using:
Sli Compatibility (DX10+DX11) Bits = 0x00000001 (Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Watch Dogs 2, Dawn)
NVIDIA predefined number of GPUs to use on SLI rendering mode on DirectX 10 = 0x00000002 SLI_PREDEFINED_GPU_COUNT_DX10_TWO
NVIDIA predefined SLI mode on DirectX 10 = 0x00000000 SLI_PREDEFINED_MODE_DX10_AUTOSELECT
    SLI rendering mode = 0x00000004 SLI_RENDERING_MODE_FORCE_SFR

So far this has provided me the smoothest and most consistent framerate with no flickering or stuttering.

I see there is another option, NVLINK SLI Mode = 0x00000000, this is default. I am wondering, since I am using an NVLINK bridge, would this setting have any impact or relevance?

I never owned any of the RTX so can not say for certain.

Again, give me some time to check on the game and I will reply asap, as for now, message me for the time being, thanks.

    THE TECHNOMANCER - GTX 970 - 4-WAY SLI - FINAL CONCLUSION #1 - 3/25/20:

Ok game is finally completed, The Technomancer under 4-way Sli, Game engine: PhyreEngine, originally for the PS3 from Sony...

Overall, game has been very good experience to work with, let us being with the Final Conclusion to this game, quite of bit to cover on this game, let us begin.

First before I go knee deep about this game, One thing I really wanted to point out here, as I said on previous post, This game has TAA, and way later tuning in this game, I personally conducted my own testing With this and resolution in general.

First, I wanted to see how well the overall AA image quality was during 1600p(2560x1600) with TAA and then @ 4k or beyond w/FXAA+SMAA(Reshade), and I wasn't to surprised at all, the one with 1600p + TAA showed superior overall AA Image quality compared to 4k(2400p) w/FXAA+SMAA(Reshade)...

Furthermore during this particular test, I went back to just one GTX 970, and start Adjusting some In-game graphic settings + TAA = Enabled @ 1600p, and guess what happens next? I can get up 60 fps or slightly over with vastly more superior Image Quality then @ 4k w/FXAA+SMAA(Reshade)...

This is very damning news to maybe some people, but I am not surprised.

I can not use under any circumstances, TAA while under SLI mode, this also pertains to ALL games I have tested that had TAA built in the game, only game that I am aware of that you can use this setting but during SLI mode, its not showing its full effectiveness, is non other then Greedfall, only game that works, but only a slight under SLI mode.

Again, this whole thing is about getting games to scale, no matter what settings or how it is adjusted, long it scales to its absolute best of ability and yes, I even tried using reshade to see if I can counterattack the TAA, Nope, I even did the RE2/Bright Memory Resume Technique with this game, NOPE, I also worked on some bits, AA bits, Nope, I also tried forcing SGSSAA, wether override or enhanced, Nope, did all others, no can do, even tried AFR2, SFR, Rendering modes, Including my 4-way SLI rendering mode of choice: AFR of SFR, all = DUD...

One more this before I go on to performance readings, Custom resolution:

I understand alot of this depends on monitor and what not but apparently, after much observation, anything higher then 2400p, the overall AA image quality = gets worse as you increase the resolution further.

Just a recap, during my tuning session with my 2 1080ti's in the past, I have ran 8k(4800p) with some games with Custom DSR registry, and never experienced Image Quality Loss,
Apparently, this game loses its quality after 4k, you really have to pay attn. to it, but if you look very carefully, you can see its worse as you go above 4k, so depending on what monitor you have and what not, be careful of tuning this game.

So this project has been pretty good, and boy, the overall scaling potential in this game screams: Hell Fire.

Lots of performance readings were done and this is something new I never done until now.

The test conducted in this game are as follows:

    @ 3071x1919: 1 GPU mode & 2-Way Sli mode: Graphic settings: Everything Maxed out(Except Texture/High)/FXAA

    @ 3840x2160: 1 GPU mode & 3-Way Sli mode: Graphic settings: Everything Maxed out(Except Texture/High)/FXAA

    @ 4095x2559: 1 GPU mode & 4-Way Sli mode: Graphic settings: Everything Maxed out(Except Texture/High)/FXAA

Also, All Static(Idle/Stationary/No movement) performance readings are @ 4095x2559, everything set to maximum except texture(High), AA = FXAA.

And some locations have 1 gpu to 4 gpu @ 4095x2559 to show its true potential during Sli modes.

Some performance readings down below, namely in-game cutscenes, some of them have both SSAO setting set: normal and high, reason for this, if its set to high depending on resolution and setting, its sometime it will stutter, so my readings will completely thrown off.

Despite 4095x2559 showing lower overall AA image quality then 2400p, you can still use 2400p while under 4-way but best overall scaling potential, I use 2559p during these test.

The reason for the very unusual resolution settings is because these resolution are the best suited for the Sli mode Above, the overall scaling potential at its best.

Lets get down and nasty, The one Everyone has been waiting for, THE RESULTS...

    THE TECHNOMANCER - GTX 970 - 4-WAY SLI - FINAL CONCLUSION #2 - 3/25/20:

Due to the limited about of space I can type, part 2 to the final conclusion is here:

Before you continue, please read the last post(Scroll up) to the 1st part, thanks.

This portion will cover my custom made bits, here they are BUT FIRST:

ABSOLUTE FAIR WARNING ABOUT MY CUSTOM MADE BITS:

TESTED AND 110% GUARANTEE TO WORK, AS THE PERFORMANCE ABOVE MENTIONED, ONLY, REPEAT, ONLY FOR THE NVIDIA GTX 970 FAMILY, AND ALSO, ONLY BEEN TESTED AND GUARANTEE TO WORK WITH WIN 10 X64(15063.V1703-RS2/RTM), FAILURE TO MEET BOTH OF THESE REQUIREMENTS, I WILL GUARANTEE 0%, SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE BOTH OF THESE BEFORE YOU CONTINUE.

Since there is so much custom stuff in this game, I made it alot easier instead of typing all of it, and yes, Lots of stuff here.

To make it easier on myself and to everyone, first, grab a copy of this nvidia inspector program:

    https://github.com/DeadManWalkingTO/NVidiaProfileInspectorDmW/releases/tag/v3.5.0.0

This is what I always use, and it works perfect for what I need to do, please use this if you can, thank you.

Next, open up the nvidia inspector profile program, on top of the program, move your cursor to export user defined settings, then on the drop down list, select the very last one, should say:
Export all drive profiles (NVIDIA TEXT FORMAT)

Next, open up the saved document with something like notepad, then Find the following:

    "The Technomancer"

Then you will come across the first line, should say:

    Profile "The Technomancer"

Underneath that, Delete all of it, and copy and paste this below, Make sure you do proper spacing between each line after the line: Profile "The Technomancer", 4 spaces to be exact,
The end Profile line does NOT need any spacing and here it is:

Save the Document, then Import the saved document with your nvidia inspector, on top of the program, move cursor to:

Import user defined settings, Select the 2nd item, should say:

Import (REPLACE) all driver profiles (NVIDIA TEXT FORMAT)

Everything should be there, including ALL the custom made bits, 8 - Extra, and ALL of the unknown or unknown PREDEFINED nvidia settings.

People with 2-way or 3-way sli, Just change the portion where it says FOUR to its respected setting, thanks.

As remainder to all, 4-Way Users, ONLY USE:

    AFR of SFR(Combo)

All others, switch to Autoselect, thanks.

Also, one more thing, very important, for those who wants to run 2-way or 3-way, Sli

    Compatibility (DX10+DX11) Bits:

0x0<<~~ set it to 0, for 4-way, set it to 8.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    FINAL CONCLUSION:

When I first jumped on this game, the game automatically scaled like there was absolutely no tomorrow, game really took me by surprise, all I did originally is messed with the Sli Compatibility bits and I had a major head start, but I was doing other games during this time, and now finally went back to this game and now its finished.

My Final Conclusion under 4-Way is this:

All though the game scales Extremely well, however that being said, you are unable to use TAA at all and the only alternative is to use FXAA or Reshade(SMAA), but even then, it will NOT even come close to TAA, so because of this, If you are lets say, all into overall Image Quality, no doubt, you would choose 1 card, all because of the built-in TAA feature, not only that, I have personally conducted some testing where @ 1600p with TAA enabled and some other adjustments to the graphic settings, no doubt about it, overall Image Quality is Vastly Superior to even resolution to high as 4k with FXAA+SMAA(Reshade).

This was done as a project to see if the game can even scale at all and it is incredible to say at least, however that being said, If you have 1 GTX 970 Oc'ed, and care about IQ in your games, I would crank it to 1600p, Shadow anything lower then Ultra, Texture to high, TAA enabled, and SSAO perhaps to off, game flies up to 60 fps and slighly above it with Vastly Superior Image quality, if however on the other hand, do not care whatsoever about the overall IQ in your games, and want more fps, you could go with 2 GTX 970 route, but as a remainder, your scaling will NOT be up to par if your SSAO is set to normal, certain areas, it must be set to high in order for overall scaling potential to come out with full force...

I even tried 2-way @ 1600p(2560x1600), and some other adjustments, as expected, my scaling was not up to par.

Me personally, If you have, lets say just 1 970/980/or even 980ti/your basically good to go, crank it to 1600p or slighly beyond it, with TAA enabled = Much better IQ then 4k with FXAA+SMAA...

So the ending verdict to all of this, 4-way does infact 100% work like it was nothing, BUT, but judging from performance and overall IQ stand point, I would highly recommend doing only 1 GPU at this point, again, if you don't care about IQ, then I would go with 2, anything more = not really needed.

    2-Way Scaling potential = EXCELLENT
    3-Way Scaling potential = EXCELLENT
    4-Way Scaling potential = EXCELLENT

ALL 3 = 2 thumbs up on overall scaling potential.

    STAR CITIZEN(PER REQUEST) - GTX 970 - 4-WAY SLI - 1ST UPDATE - 3/26/20:

Alright, here it is, 1st update of this game per request from: v8n3t

I have gotten 2-way sli to function, however, it is splitting its load 50-50, I tried from low to very high settings, same thing, more ever, those of you that's tuning this game under 3-way and 4-way sli mode, fair warning, initial results on my side = Complete hang the moment you start up the game.

    Tried from AFR/SFR/AFR of SFR(Combo) = all Dud's.

I also tried tuning the two major players for 4-way to kick in at all and those are:

    within Sli Compatibility (DX10+DX11) Bits:

0x0<<~~ this one, I normally set it to 0 for 2-way and 3-way and sli rendering mode to auto select,

for 4-way, majority of the games I tested, 0x0<<~~ Must be set to 8.

I tried both 0 and 8 on my side, with pretty much everything:

    AFR,SFR,AFR of SFR = Again, all Dud's.

So for those of you have similar setup as mine and tuning this in 3-way or 4-way configuration mode, absolute fair warning is advised.

More tuning is needed for this game, but initial observation 2-way = good to go.

There has been times that if you have your log in to automatic log in, you wont even have the launch tab showing up.

My work around is when this hang happens, I go into the game folder, Trash the User folder, restart the system, go into the game, log out, then log back in, seems to work.

So as of now, 3-way and 4-way mode = X until much further investigation on this is done, thanks.

Be sure to check the latest updates on this game. Thanks again.

    QUICK UPDATE:

    Tried: Sli Compatiblity (DX10+DX11) Bits:

0x00000<<~~ to digit 0 while 0x0<<~~ is set to 8, 4-way sli, AFR of SFR, game hanged right off the back in the beginning, and then system restarted itself.

Usually a complete hang or system restart is very rare on my side, usually the game will have a pop up with an error message then the game will quit, so these kind of things are rare.

So again, 3-way and 4-way, do NOT attempt until more further testing is done, thanks.

Ok, doing some more serious tuning here, for starters, my bits looks like this in the very beginning just recently:

    0x000000F1

2-way kicks in but some problems were there, next, I change:

0x00<<~~ This one, and it is now set to 8(Pertains to my 4-way tuning as well), do NOT put anything lower then 7, as you will see decreased performance, but initial impression as of now, it is working but it is still below 1 gpu performance.

    Also:

0x0000<<~~ acts as a very tiny booster in this game and it is set to 4, 4 works the best on this particular hex, I know, I think it was Sekiro: Shadow die twice, that this particular hex, set to 4, gave me a jump in overall scaling performance under 4-way, but some games will not even benefit from it, usually its set to 8 on my games or 9 for that matter.

    ANOTHER QUICK UPDATE:

    Within Sli Compatibility (DX10+DX11) Bits:

0x00000<<~~, this is one is playing a major role here in scaling performance.

Bits for the Sli Compatibility, should be done later on today, be sure to look for it.

I am not going to touch anything else until this portion is all set, then I will work with the Sli Broadcast and Specific hacks, along with the 8 - extra and the Unknown ID Settings(All the way to the bottom of the program of nvidia inspector)

    And yes, within some stuff:

8 - extra and Unknown ID settings can make a big difference, so stay tuned for more.

So question about the above item.

"0x0000<<~~ acts as a very tiny booster in this game and it is set to 4, 4"....

This line item above ^^^^^^, do you mean the full hex value would be: 0x00000004 ?

I ask because a lot of people will not understand the implied aspect. I think it would be beneficial to provide the fully qualified hex address to prevent the misunderstandings.
