Is this youtube bug "An error occurred. Please try again later." a steam window chat issue or driver? I didnt have that not so long ago, now it doesn't work 90% of the time.

Video/link starts in hd , then switches to 480p, then to lowest possible and at end it prompts with this error.

I've been using 442.01 for a while and I don't remember having it, or it wasn't annoying enough to post about it.

I've been getting some undesired video glitches too. Haven't definitely traced them down except a lot of folks playing with their website coding. Canary, Chrome, Brave, all same.

 

Would say it's Youtube related then or Google and their servers perhaps, getting issues with playback here and this is a AMD GPU system for the moment plus Firefox but with hardware acceleration off and it occurs sporadically whether it's defaulting to 480p and won't hit higher without manually toggling it or getting a playback error though a refresh at least resolves it but it's a server side issues I'm guessing.

EDIT: So a different GPU, non-Chromium browser (For now at least.) and yeah likely a server issue much as non-Chromium browsers do tend to lag behind and hit issues with Youtube on occasion also.

Was curious but that helps explain it then if others are also encountering playback issues, should hopefully be resolved in a few days whatever they're doing.

 

I am acutely aware of a 445 driver coming very soon, it will probably be the 20h1 wddm 2.7 driver and 450 will get redesignated to the 195xx release.

I see, well firefox youtube is ok. Just links in steam chat windows. Started just around the time I updated to this driver.. that's why i suspect it.

when I tried it now, some small 20sec video, it played ok, but when I tried the link I posted with video specific time it fails.
