Awesome. What error are you getting with the 4th GPU?

    Hi there

    No errors,as you can see

    GPUs: 4
    01:04:11: GPU 0: Bus:3 Slot:0 Func:0 NVIDIA:8 GP104 [GeForce GTX 1080] 8873
    01:04:11: GPU 1: Bus:4 Slot:0 Func:0 NVIDIA:8 GP102 [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti] 11380
    01:04:11: GPU 2: Bus:5 Slot:0 Func:0 NVIDIA:8 TU102 [GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Rev. A]
    01:04:11: M 13448
    01:04:11: GPU 3: Bus:2 Slot:0 Func:0 NVIDIA:8 GP104 [GeForce GTX 1080] 8873

Looks like GTX1080's have same ID which is clashing? Have no idea there,I can see all GPUs in rendering or other SW just not in F@H

    Thanks,Jura

Alright, and when you add a GPU with index 3, CUDA index 3, OpenCL index 3, what happens?

I will reinstall F@H client later on and see if tgis fixes my problem

For now I'm folding on 3*GPUs which I hope helps a bit

For now I have stopped working on my projects

    Hope this helps

    Thanks, Jura

I joined as well 10920x@4.8 and 2x 2080ti fe. It finished 1 on the CPU and 1 on a GPU and started again. At least I know my OC is stable with 100% usage and pulling close to 1100w lol according to PSU in ICUE.

The work servers are thrashed and / or the work units are depleted.

You're doing good work dude. Keep it up.

thanks for me ;) as I have it but not in any danger I'm not that old and have good enough health so I'm confined at home doing the usual, gaming and reading hardware news lol
I feel like the spitter in left4dead2 every time I cough or worse sneeze and I wonder for how long my apartement will be a bio hazard zone ><

For some of u guys having issues with either the cpu or gpu not folding at the same time my 2400g was only folding on the CPU at first but a few hours later when I checked they where both folding. Same as my 2600+gtx1080 at first only the cpu was folding but looked a few hours later and they where both going just be patient it takes time to find a workload I guess

Just reinstalled whole thing and now all 4*GPUs are recognized and ready for folding

    Thanks,Jura

Yup with such load you will test stability probably better than anything,my 4*GPUs pulls around 1250-1350W from wall

    Hope this helps

    Thanks,Jura

    To name a few differences:
    - cancer is a disease involving body cells which become rogue, while COVID-19 is caused by a foreign agent (SARS-CoV-2 virus)
    - there are many types of cancers, with countless causes, while COVID-19 has only one cause
    - there are already many projects for cancer(s) cures, including distributed computing ones. Moreover, Folding@Home main project is about protein misfolding which can cause, among other issues, you guessed - cancer https://foldingathome.org/diseases/

Also, there are many companies working on vaccines against SARS-CoV-2, but there is still a long way before availability. The most advanced ones are only about to start first clinical trials (for efficacy, safety and so on); experts say we are lucky if a vaccine will be available for public in 18 months. To give you an idea, usually it takes 3 to 5 years to develop a vaccine (including testing & certification from health authorities).

    Peace

Firstly, there is not a cure. There is not a cure for a single virus, never has been. We have vaccines, that boost our immune systems to fight the virus itself....but we do not have a singular cure for any virus. That said, the earliest we would see a viable vaccine available is mid next year. Secondly, the mortality rate of cancer is approximately .16%...less than a quarter of a percent. The mortality rate of this virus is 3.5%, making it approximately 2100% more deadly than cancer....and what's worse is that it is very virulent, meaning it can be passed on very easily and quickly (even more so than the seasonal flu).

You are confusing death rate (which is calculated against population not infected). So that right there kills you're post completely. Good job signing up just to post incorrect info in an attempt to stroke your own ego. 598,038 that is the total number of deaths from cancer in 2016 which works out to .156%.

61, that is the latest number of deaths reported in the US for COVID-19 which the death rate is well around .00002% yeah try again.
