50% perf/power (if it pans out) is really good - should be competitive with Nvidia on 7nm.

Going to be interesting year for GPUs with Intel and perhaps AMD actually being competitive at the high end.

Talking is fine, but we have been talking for about a year now and yet we have nothing. And even if it releases, with the current driver it will be terrible. I want to believe, but it's clear we are being fed crap.

Looks like RDNA2 will be on a enhanced 7nm and not 7+nm. Though will be nice to see apples-to-apples comparison.

    50% perf/watt = +14% performance, -23% power

@Hilbert Hagedoorn Yeah, first thing I noticed in the Graphics portion of the "PC and Gaming Solutions" slide was that 2 fan axial style cooler! It sure would be nice if AMD offered a Founders style stock cooler instead of blowers, except maybe for OEM parts.

Looks like they got their roadmap layed out well. Any word if B450 boards will support Zen 3?

that'll be at the discretion of the board manufacturers.

I will eat a Ford Mustang if AMD manages a 50% perf/watt increase on 7nm.

Amd 50%perf/watt will be the same as Nvidia 50 - 75% performance increase.

It means two companies that love to talk the talk but let's see how they walk the walk.
By the way, if AMD keeps their word I expect a video from you eating the ford mustang posted here - you mean the real car and not a toy replica I hope??? - start with the tires - they will server as antacid and then work your way up from suspension elements.

Nvidia has actually delivered sizeable perf-watt increases at the architectural level on a pretty consistent basis. AMD has not. Navi is like 15% more efficient than Vega on 7nm. No way in hell do they manage a 50% perf/watt increase on the same node. If they even manage 20% I will be completely amazed. "Poor Volta", "Overclockers dream", Zen2 boost clocks etc. AMD is constantly caught talking out of it's ass. This will definitely be no different.

Oh i'm so sorry that a company....supports their products......

More like a range of 15%-30% depending on the game/scenario. Navi 7nm uses 25% less power then Radeon VII yet in many scenarios matches or bests the Radeon VII, also loses ofcourse. 15% however is no accurate average.

Yes, it has always been the weak point of the company.
Talking to much... From my own experience, their production (GPU and CPU) are very good now, so they shouldn't talk for talking about something they have already said, and wait for big announcement. (as NVidia does).

There is not only the node fab, there is everything else that can change parameter there... it can be, but it is still in far future yet.

    I can't agree with this question/statement enough.

It's like we're around a bunch of elementary school students. It's rather annoying and has no place here.
