Well it was bound to happen at one point. Today I'd like to officially announce my motherboard and 2600K are DEAD!! Motherboard was acting weird for a long time , bios settings could not be reset even after clearing CMOS. Updating bios was also not possible anymore. Overclock was getting harder as well. i think i started with 1.3v for 4.5GHZ but i had to give her 1.4 for the last year. Temperature has never been a problem, i always keep the case well vented. it served me well , i shared everything with it. laughter , tears , drama , coca cola, beer. I will drink one on you my friend , may you finally find your peace. 2011 - 2020 Spoiler Thanks for everything! Ps. i ordered a ryzen 5 3600
I feel your sorrow. Also I feel guilty because this weekend I abandoned my still perfectly fine x79 with i7-4930K and went to x299 with i9-9820X. You maintained loyalty while I did not... PS Btw, have you succeeded with your script?
Oh No!....This is Sad Day! Rip 2600k... PS: just told the boss I'm knocking off at lunch and getting drunk.
F I also was expecting some "serious stuff" like "finally I got a GF", "I'm going to be a daddy", "we got a puppy", "I surpassed 1k insta followers", but non of that useless rubbish nobody wants to know about. This is real drama... mad F. No need to ingore op / WL since that's what I do when people think they need to share their pathetic private lives on social media, makes me happy.
@WhiteLightning gave someone I know a scare... Yeah, trolling master using the word DEAD. Better EOL, we are accostumed to it. And congratulations for getting a 3600. It will serve you well.
Maybe use the time until your next pc arrives to go out, get some sunlight onto your skin and talk to real world ppl.
Maybe the reason it died is you gave it coke and beer? (I can't cope with loss so I make bad jokes...) Anyway you surely used it as long as physically possible so enjoy your new rig and make sure to put your socks on tight because the new system will attempt to blow them off!
Day of dead rigs it seems .... Mine just died, my wife called me. She booted the rig and it went to Desktop, then she went somewhere else while the rig was on, and when she came back the screen was black. After numerous tries (monitor OFF/ON and some reboots, still with black screen) she told me the rig seems to boot up fine (if the lights from my mecha keyboard go ON/OFF during boot it would be a reboot cycle because of a failed OC) but no screen at all. Just 2 days after I moved the whole rig from one tower to another .... FRACK!
Check it once you get home, sounds to me like the system might be fine but monitor lost signal for some reason. So loose cable at best or dead monitor or GPU at worst.
One of the cables maybe? Or some weird BIOS thing, had that on my rig as well, suddenly the BIOS had an issue, have to reboot via safe boot button on the mainboard.
its worth checking them, caught me out on occasion. fuse in the mains plug? having known working cables(all) is handy.
"Your words into God's ears!" (saying in Germany for "I hope you are right with that!") GPU is just a bit over 2 years old, warranty was 2 years, well FRACK that .... the more I think about that, the more I worry about it.
My Samsung laptop also died a few months ago... The screen is busted and now the laptop just reboots over and over again...
