I have had several store apps fail to boot with all sorts of "did not register with DCOM within the required timeout" errors in the past, they are much more less reliable than the good old win32 apps.
I hope there will always be an option to get the good old panel.

When you first install DCH drivers, it will automatically grab the NVIDIA Control Panel from the Windows Store assuming you are connected to the internet. If you uninstall the NVIDIA Control Panel and the NVIDIA DCH display drivers manually, Windows 10 will assume you did not intend to install the NVIDIA Control Panel so on the following installation, it will not automatically grab the NVIDIA Control Panel from the Windows Store. We have a complete FAQ along with link to manually download the NVIDIA Control Panel from the Windows Store available in case you have issues with your installation:

I went from 441.41 to these .66, to vulkan 441.71, but returned to 441.41.

Vulkan were the least smooth for some reason, these .66 also not so good.

A new breed of alien not often seen on earth because they mostly live in stars and need compression suits to leave.
Apparently the suits are rather expensive, about 1/2 a moon each.

I have a crash in RDR2 with these drivers and the previous one i didn't have with the 430.86. Its reproductible on two differents PC, one with a 2080ti and the other one with a 1080ti.
    It happens only :
    - in DX12 only (i cannot use Vulkan, gave me a lot of stuttering)
    - at night only
    - in St-Louis, just in front of the saloon (the doyle bar)
    - especially when a tram is driving in the street
It gave me artifcats and and the game crash with the "GFX_State_Error". It's the only place i have this problem.

diagnose your stuttering and fix it, dx12 is the bastard child that gets no support.

I had similar issues with some kind of stuttering (it was actually very visible like image was moving a few centimeters in the wrong direction and had some black block flashing rapidly).
The fix was a fresh install of Windows for me sadly.

It was partially fixed disabling GPU scalling and GSYNC and/or changing resolution in game. Once playing with all these settings (including turning Vsync on/off in game) I managed to make it go away but it returned after few restarts (of system). So I completly reinstalled the OS and they were gone.

Speaking of black flashes while streaming, e.g. Forza4

Destiny2 has it similar, seeing it since I bought it a good year ago.

by each new section of the map it micro stutters and sometimes blinks black for a split second. The game is on fast SSD so streaming shouldn't be a problem. When it moved to Steam it ran ok for the first and second time, then it returned and it's like that since then.. Some drivers have it less then others, but it's not completely fixed by any of them.

Suddenly stuttering returned and I made it go away in a silly manner but worked. Disabled GPU scaling completely and used Display Scaling ... I think these issues are tied to gsync/scaling and sorts. If in a game I switch resolutions around and I enable disable gsync/vsync sometimes it fixes it. Either way disabling GPU scaling completely fixed the issue so far.

I see, well i dont use freesync, just driver fastsync and lowlatency -on.

    edit:
I just checked and it's already set to display scaling. I don't use driver downsamping it's a bit buggy in this game, only internal at 130%.

Maybe i need to try the opposite? lol :D I will do that now..

edit: nah no difference for me..
