AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition 19.12.2 driver download & discussion

Sadly i cannot record how it works when relive is off (i'm using relive for recording) i just try to make a difference video 19.12.1 vs 19.12.2 when i get back from work ... I'm gonna try more this driver but i think it has some issues, it's not just simple plug&play like the previous one

 

On my Vega 64 LC temperatures dropped 2-4 C°
A friend of mine got a Titan V and got same issues on COD MW.
Things just randomly dissapeard.

 

mw now will not run for more than 2mins in to game then locks up only way is to alt-tab out off game windows is fine no problem ,now just mw

This is an updated one.

 

So it seems the undervolt / overclock profile is not being loaded or active upon a return from standby or reboot, its always set back to the balanced profile. Have to go into "Tuning" click the 3 dots and load my saved profile each time. With all drivers prior to 19.12.2, the last undervolt / overclock settings changed or profile loaded (which I always have saved and backup up) were always active upon a return from standby or reboot. Anyone else getting this?

Also not seeing an update yet - at least not through the control panel. Would like to see how that type of update goes vs the download package.

 

Kernel driver components must always be WHQL signed. This should be a package ready for WU/WSUS where all driver components are signed.

In hindsight, the previous driver was also WHQL.

 

You may know more than I, but not all of the ones I've downloaded said WHQL on the "Details" tab. GPU-Z also lists it as WHQL - not Beta.

 

Check your temps. I noticed mine was rising. The fan wasn't ramping up like it use to prior to this December driver update. AMD needs to fix this.

on the yt vid it's hard to notice this but for me there is huge impact on performance and input lag: Radeon Anti-Lag changes nothing ... recordings made in same setting in relive&game

All seems to be working as it should on my RX480. Am liking it so far

 

OK, I found what cause the driver crashing on my system after an application or a game go in fullscreen mode: it's freesync, if disabled in the screen option of the driver settings, no issues happens at all.
so yes, freesync is broken, at least on my 380X and LG screen.

Does the overdriventool still work with the "2020" drivers?

I've tried it, but I'm having various issues (frozen pc, black screens, buggy youtube etc).

I created exactly the same profile using only wattman, most of the problems are gone but I can't get BFV to work properly (huge amount of different problems). I just tried BF1 and it worked flawlessly.

Any suggestions and ideas?

 

Do not touch anything. Leave your cards fully at stock. Both clocks and bios. AMD loves you when you do use bought cards like the moment you buy them.

 

the WHQL check of DXDIAG is only abut kernel drivers.
