Sapphire Radeon RX 5500 XT Nitro+ Special Edition Spotted with ARGB at 259

That could be a tough sell at that price especially with the 5600 XT coming next month.

 

Nitro cards always carry a price premium. Nitro 5700xt costs 50-60$ more than a Pulse.

They really need to keep these 5500's under 200$.

Really sharp looking card.

 

Its the similiar performance as rx580 which is very close to 1660. Still, 1650 can be found at 180$. Im sure there will be cheaper versions close to 200$.

 

1650S is bellow 200€ here, and its around the same performance. A 259 USD card will be over 300€ here, AMD can forget about selling 5500 at that pricepoint, I'm jumping Nvidia in a heartbeat. Plus, I'm tired of waiting for an overpriced card, I bought Ryzen but I'm not afraid of jumping Nvidia again if it's the better price/performance.

The GTX 1660 Super is far superior to this card and is under $250.

 

Lucky one then,
the Asus 1650s PH is 262,95 Euro and the Asus 1650S TUF is 272,95 Euro sadly no stock on other brand.
For the GTX 1660s the less expensive is MSI at 294,95 Euro and price goes as high as 316,95 Euro with Asus.
Hopefuly i don't need a GPU right now

*Edit* now that they are officialy listed Gigabyte are at 209,45 Euro and the most expensive is MSI gaming X at 279,95 Euro... Finaly they are less expensive.

 

Very hard sell when the 1660s beats it soundly for $30 less.

 

Something like gaming x 1660 super costs 270$. That still little more than this super expensive 5500.

 

There is literally no reason to buy the gaming X over the $230 EVGA SC 1660s.

 

They really are nice cards. I don't mean to go all fanboy but I have been using sapphire cards for a long time....owned many too. None of the other ati cards could ever stand up to the abuse that sapphires could.

 

I don't know where you are looking at prices, but for example on French Amazon (assuming the country in your profile is right) you can find 1660 Super models for 250€~260€.

 

It was (i have lived around 30 year in France)... but it is no more (same as my PC config btw)...
Also Amazon in France tend to be more expensive than in real shop exept on chinese plastic and second hand, but people doesn't go no more in shop thinking to alway have good bargain on E-shop...
