While new features and expanded functionality is nice, doesn't it seem that AMD is coming up on the bloatware spectrum.

Also shouldn't AMD be more focused on OpenCL improvement and reducing the still present DX11 overhead (like it or not DX11 is not going away).

I had the unrealistic hope AMD would fix OpenGL and DX11 and bring ROV for DX12.

AMD fix there OpenGL ? support it correctly? that will be the day. But the emulators that use OpenGL and the those people that use AMD will be happy.

Side question, why do AMD drivers get reviews and Nvidia dont Hilbert? or am I missing something

AMD briefs media on the new features and allows us to try out the driver and give some feedback and such. NVIDIA, ... well, nothing.

Well the make perfect sense, not like Nvida likes to share things with everyone... Looks *at* Gsync which should of never been kept proprietary

AMD purchased that thing like 3 years ago with Chill. I tested it from original developer and it worked. Originally, you could have set up reduced resolution based on fps. Therefore, they can catch frame times and alter rendering resolution dynamically as needed to keep 60fps or whatever you set.

I have no clue about current implementation, but it did work back then.

"Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products may intermittently experience loss of display or video signal during gameplay."
and so many other changes like image sharpening on DX 11 and new clock tool and new that dynamic resolution change... Downloading now

I'm starting to cry here, it was so easy in the old days bilinear, trilinear, or anisotropic filtering, nowadays you have to be a computer expert, I'm gonna sell my computer and use my phone only :D

Getting the driver now for my poor ole RX 570, 4GB - probably get the message - 'COMPUTER SAYS NO '

How long have you been "away"? :)

The 570 should be supported for quite a while longer, I think.)

problem with this driver...4k res at 60htz...no 444 at all, rgb or ycbcr , only ycbcr 422.....no hdr...only choice period no matter 30 htz or 422 no choice for 10 or 12bit color either
tried 59 htz still no go...only at 30htz will 444 show up....it was fine all other earlier drivers

update.... yea this driver is broken. cant do full screen in games (something causes it to lock up till you hit windows key then it will unfreeze but lock again in a couple seconds)
also it wont play games in 1080 res just 4k that is set in windows settings
its all about a broken 4k res in different scenarios

reverted back to previous and everything runs fine
    oh rx590

Once again, Wattman has a broken fan curve setting on this driver with the 5700 AMD card. I have a standard Radeon 5700. I set my fan profile, and it didn't activate. I prefer the minimum fan speed to be at 20% and the card will at idle stay at 35 degrees C. That's satisfactory performance for me. Without it working, my idle temps are 48 degrees C!!! I like some of the new features and some of the noticeable performance improvements, but I tried loading one game so far, and the fans are staying at 0%! They had better fix this. I guess I will roll my system back to the older driver, but what a hassle.
