Heya, I've been having the following issue for the past couple days.
After I changed my motherboard I've noticed that microstuttering would occur all the time while I'm playing any game.
I've tried most top googled fixes to no avail.

    Here's my speccy link: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/TKxsqsVX4Shiggyk1GCMwbm

A list of solutions I've already tried.

Unistalling completetly GPU drivers and doing a clean install
    Same with windows.
    Dissabling Dynamic tick
    Tried windows hardware troubleshooting
Created a scheduled task to clear standby memory
    Run memtest86 (all clear)

Userbenchmark reports that my RX 480 is performing way bellow expectations but I'm not sure how to tackle troubleshooting something so vague....

That shouldn't be the problem since I've had single channel RAM for quite some time w/o any problems.

I've bricked my previous mobo when I tried to update the BIOS and the system completetly froze resulting in me having to RMA the motherboard. If you're certain an up to date BIOS would 100% solve the issue then I might be willing to risk it, otherwise I would be really hesitant.

You mean by changins the wattman settings? Do you have any guides to suggest?

Why blame the gpu? You have 8gb single channel ram at 2400mhz. Thats the problem. Throw that thing out and get some cheap 16gb 3000mhz kit.

I'd agree with you if I wasn't running this setup for quite some while and only now I'm facing this issue.

Think about getting new faster 16gb kit.

Did that, tried running userbenchmark, and the PC shut down and I was only getting black screen until I moved the ram stick to another socket.

    To all that posted her
    Yeah strange times indeed....
Now I have to save money both for a better GPU but for a RAM kit as well....

I honestly am almost to the point of giving up... Usually it doens't take me that much time to locate and fix if possible any PC related issues. Now I dont know where to start....

Stable CPU temps with the highest i've seen it go it would be 60 C under load and around 25 - 30 iddle. PSU is a 1200W beast by coolermaster. The silent pro gold one.

@Mothe_Deer I knew you had an Asrock mobo even before reading your speccy, based on the description of your issue. You need a BIOS update when they address it, if ever. I would just send the mobo back and get one from MSI or Asus, since those two are the only 2 companies who contract engineers from the chipset manufacturer to co-design their motherboards.

Honestly I kinda see your point since only the mobo changed when I started getting this issue. I dont believe its either GPU or RAM related since i've been working with the same hardware, save the mobo, for the last 9 months without any problems...

The mobo doesn't like your current memory config, and is causing latency. Check the timings for the RAM, and see if it's set to 0T, 1T, or 2T for CR. The memory configs or BIOS may erroneously throw it into 2T, expecting to be installed as pairs and both banks filled.

Looks like 2T indeed. Is there a way to change that?

Went into the BIOS and confirmed that it was 2T. I changed it to 1T but I dont notice any improvements....

You should be able to manually change memory settings in the BIOS.
