Call of Duty Modern Warfare

I moved to console gaming a month ago, I got used to the controller quiet fast. But I have played cod before on 360 and ps3.
Been a pc gamer for around 17 years.

I enabled aim assist again, it was so annoying.
On ground war when there are multiple enemies in your vision it keeps slowing down near them, even if you can barely see them behind trees and vegetation.
That's why I disable it, it just hinders you a bit from targeting the one you want to shoot.

Finally ground war matchmaking works good now.

The new ground war map is pretty decent.
Be aware for some insane flanks lol.
And for snipers in the hills.

 

Watcha think will my setup (GTX1080+i7 6700) be enough to pull this @1440p constantly slightly above 155hz, I could go down to 144 and 120 if needed, lets say each ~ 6 FPS cap above.

Most/All effects disabled and otherwise mid settings.

 

The game is not that demanding actually.
Performance wise, in game, is really solid. Cutscenes stutter and hitch like crazy... but, Infinity Ward is "supposed" to be working on a fix.

I just wish they'd go back to "here's a level load, then here's the cutscene and level". I've never liked the whole 'lets hide load times behind cutscenes' crap.

Seems it's only an issue on PC.
But yeah, should've been addressed long before release. But... otherwise, it's the only issue I've run into with the game.

 

New 7.5 gig update today. Hope it fixes whatever issues peeps are running into. TDM Realism Mode has returned. I`d like to see all Modes have a Realism Mode tbh. As well, I noticed a nice performance increase, and textures seems to look nicer now. hmmmmm I`m liking this update. ;p

 

Busy today, didn't get time to check. But, did the new update improve the cutscene playback for anyone?

 

Intro vids/cutscene vids..... yes... they play better now, but the lip sync is still a small bit misaligned.

 

Anyone else experiencing crashes to desktop after a couple of minutes? A friend of mine is having terrible trouble with this.

 

No, not once. Though yesterday I noticed I couldn't connect to the online services. Was it down for a bit yesterday?

 

Yes indeed, Master Server was offline for a good +-30minutes.

 

Ah I see, thanks. Kept checking their server status Activision website and it constantly said all platforms "online". 30mins is not too bad really, but it was late evening for me so couldn't get a match or two before my bed time.

 

A 20 gig update for MW... ya gotta be kidding me. Did get a performance increase though. Nice.

Ok it s rant time:
Obviously my 970 is not enough for 144 hz gameplay in this game, ok that s fine, as 970 only manages 55 average fps..
Ok gtx 1080, only friggin managing 75-80 fps,like seriously...!!!!!what the heck is this game engine??? Can someone explain to me, that a 1080 can only manage 75 fps in multiplayer....so what, they are asking us to buy rtx 2070 and above to play this game with fps above 120....like seriously man....

 

Where are you getting those gtx 1080 numbers from?

 

Yeah, the 1080 definitely does more then 75 fps at 1440.
Hell, a 1070 ti can hit around 70fps at 1440 at Ultra settings.

 

why is everyone testing on ultra only, frickin t ards

 

Because its easier to test at one fixed setting so its easier to draw comparisons.

If everyone tested at their own custom settings it would be a crap show.
