If you are in the market for some DDR4 memory for your PC, now might be a good time to pick up some DIMMs. Proces are historically low and projections show an increase in demand, thus prices will rise... Demand for DRAM is increasing again
Wait, what? Did some factory got flooded again, or what is this time? Ah, the same old, same old. Greed, the game played by everyone worldwide. Will buy 16 GB RAM ASAP
The last time this happened a kit I bought just before the price increases pretty much doubled in cost.
Plot twist: Amazon manufactured propaganda of increased DRAM demand to sell more DRAM. wraps ass with tin foil
I don't buy it. Where exactly will this "demand" come from. Theres far too much uncertainty in Europe atm with Brexit and the China/US trade ware goes on. Coupled with the decline in gpu farming for crypto this is where memory prices should be. I don't see it going up anytime soon.
Guess I'm immune to it all as I've bought all the ram I need...... Still don't know what or where this all comes from in the sense of "we need to raise prices crap.?!?.?!?.?!?.?!"
So what you're saying is that I should plug the two empty slots on my mobo with another 16 gigs of RAM?
I got a stock of 7 dual channel kits from 16 GB to 32 GB at different speeds from 3200 to 4600 still not touched from Corsair, G.Skill and Kingston. Turns out that RAM is a better investment than gold or land...or I have a serious RAM addiction problem...
*wears my tinfoil hat* what if those are rumors the dram companies start so everyone rush to buy creating this way the high demand!
Guess i was lucky in buying 16GB CL14 of Samsung B-die for £100, 32GB Ram should keep me going for a few years.
when DDR5 going to be release soon ? DDR5 is schedule for 2020 release right ? (it will more likely 2021 for consumer start picking it up) seems they rather want to keep DDR4 price as by the time DDR5 release DDR4 value will going to down
On one stick, yes. 2TB FTW or go home. https://skinflint.co.uk/intel-nvdimm-optane-dc-pmm-kit-2tb-nma1xxd512gpsu4-a2072722.html (8.800 Euros in Germany)
Besides the lack of RAM I thought that was the only real reason prices could go up. RAM is abundant as of now.....how can it be going up in price!?! Should be illegal as it's scalping...... Cost and demand my arse..... "Demand the cost" as it should be stated!!
