Terminator Resistance

Agreed, Salvation was actually the movie i've been waiting for since T2. Back then i thought a movie only taking place in the future shortly before Skynet would be totally awesome.

I just imagined it to be at night time because of what Kyle Reese said in T1 - at daylight the machine were supposed to have unmatched recon capabitlties. Something Salvation actually screwed up a bit.
And seriously - that T600 was dumb AF.

 

Ofc nothing comes close to the first 2 movies, however T3 is an entertaining film, i didn t like any of the other films, as i said: brad fiedel is a genius of a composer to know how to give you the tension while watchinf the first and the second film

 

Well, Salvation also takes place earlier in the war. Before Kyle was part of the resistance, so... early Terminators.
So... I was okay with them not being as up to snuff.


Also, worth remembering, the movie was written/directed during the writers strike.
It turned out way better then a lot of other movies during that time.

 

Well, no matter how we like or dislike the movies, the franchise now rests in the hands of the makers of Rambo: The Videogame. For what it's worth, one of the devs actually contacted Angry Joe of all people to "assure" that they have come long way from Rambo. I kinda want to believe that (the visuals seem nice enough, we need the gameplay to hold up, though), so I'm still keeping an eye on this game. It would be nice to get a proper SP campaign in the Terminator universe. We didn't get any since the movie tie-in with Salvation, and prior to that we've had the Bethesda games from the 90s. There was a fan game being made long ago, I remember following it on Moddb.com, but it "only" got a demo out.

 

I would be happy for Terminator Future Shock being redone in UE4 or any capable gfx engine

 

Lately watched some videos of that game again for old times sake and was kinda shocked how stale the gameplay is from today's standpoint.

Enemies that came into the rendering circle just stood there waiting to get shot before reacting. Or in some cases you could aim and walk back a few steps until they were not rendered anymore and shot them from there without any reaction.

Mmmmmh i dunno. Besides this game actually reminds me quite a bit of TFS tbh.
Love the stealth sections. Might pick this up in a year.

 

Well .. it's BETHESDA game, after all, their AI was always kind of dumb.
What I'm missing is the atmosphere, deadly radiation. So I hope I will find something like this in Resistance.

 

Still looks like an "okey" game to me which is fine.

Graphics don't turn me on or off so i don't care what it looks like.

 

My bad. It was Terminator 4 I thought wasn`t too bad. The only thing I liked bout T3, was the hot Terminator actress. lol

 

Looks azz. Moves azz. I tell you, had they released this right round the time AVP 1999 was released.... it would have rocked. It is THAT dated.

 

not a bad little game this, deffo not AAA but worth a play through for sure. I reckon 5 year ago, it would have been great.

Shame you cant adjust the FOV though, its a bit close to say the least.

positive reviews on steam not a great game but a good enough game if your a terminator fan i guess, not like you had any movies in awhile.

after all the doomsaying on this title and well the dev deserved it, they made a game is it not bad they tried give em some credit.

I figured it out... what was actually bugging me about this.
As he walks, the hands and weapon move... but the arms never budge.

 

Amazing! Will get this before Cyberpunk2077 is out.
