I didn't buy the PC version, these are PS4 screenshots. And my complains were always about gameplay mechanics and not about visuals.
Has anybody installed the game on a mechanical drive? If yes, how does it run? I don't have enough space on my SSD!
Great, thanks for anwering. I was concerned because of potential issues with the streaming of assets/textures, being the world is so big and detailed.
Apparently, for the people who had issues with the launcher, discovered that it's possible to circumvent the launcher by using the No GTAVLauncher Mod; https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/no-gtavlauncher Put it in the rdr2 dir renaming RDR2.exe to GTA5.exe and running the No_GTAVLauncher.exe ( of course, make backup of the exe file if you want to try this)
Grrr, you can't add this game as a non-Steam game to Steam and launch it. I like using Steam Big Picture mode when I'm in "couch mode"... They didn't think to link the game executable to check if Rockstar Game Launcher is present and launch it accordingly if it is. Instead it just checks if the executable was launched by Rockstar Game Launcher, and since it isn't you are refused the game to load.
Anyone has run into the 'loading forever' issue ? Just installed the latest Nvidia drivers, now i see a slideshow of all loading screens for like 15mins.
Whenever i use my 360 controller (usb cablel version) it instantly disappears, but it comes back in shops or menus. I use both M&KB and 360 controller
Red Dead Online is crashing for me in DirectX 12 (Nvidia 441.12 drivers), it's fine in Vulkan, though. The single player story works fine in both DX12 and Vulkan, though and I can play all night. By the way, does anybody know how to change the keybinds for keyboard and mouse buttons?
It's in the Controls - menu, but you need to start the story. It's not available from the start screen where you can choose between story or online mode.
The options buried in menus... I go to change mouse sensitivity and I have to escape through like 30 menus to go back to the game. It's insane.
Patch fixes launcher issues only. Waiting for a patch that fixes the freezing issues in the game for me.
Doesn't fix launcher issues at all. Still not been able to play. There is a GTA5_nolauncher file that get the game to boot but you get an infinite loading screen when you try to start a game.
I've settled for everything on high, textures at ultra, taa on high and resolution scale to 150%. Makes TAA that more usable, and without the shimmer you get for playing without it. Only downside is that I'm playing on ~40 FPS instead of ~60 FPS which is a downer but hopefully we'll see some improvements soon.
I've got the game about where I'm pleased with it at ultra everything @1440p.. I hate TAA and Sharpening but it's a necessary evil if you have shimmering OCD
