It's something to look at alright, and I don't mean the actual display panel. In the US the Raptor is selling, a 27-inch screen with an IPS panel and 144 Hz refresh rate at 2560x1440. ...

Is that expensive? i still do not have a wide choice of 1440p 27inch, 144hz free sync monitors.

    If it would be pivotable..

Unless you need the colours, this is about 300% of the price I'd pay for this screen in gaming relation. Two friends of mine just this year bought 1440p, 144Hz, Freesync2 screens (Gsync ready) for ~250€...

And its probably 4ms gtg. Razer products remind me of some knockoff chinese brand you'd buy on alibaba but at double the price :D

While true, 90% of people wouldn't notice, or bother to buy IPS.
Hence my comment, unless you need something specific, you'd have more than enough options for way cheaper.

Also, I don't buy Razer products. So this monitor would be out of discussion for me personally anyway.

    IPS is overvalued.

Currently rolling a VA panel, and once tweaked well color-wise, IMO, it provides supreme picture thanks to deeper blacks.

Won't change my current screen up until Oled will be a proper thing.

Bought VA myself back then, 2015, 144Hz, 1440p, Gsync, for more money though, but yeah... four years later, I'm not even remotely interested in this particular Razer monitor.
But with Oled... burn ins... not my thing.

Price-wise they are insane but will get down eventually. Burn-in is a temporary problem, that I'm sure will be tackled with in the years to come.

I also bought VA panel and quite satisfied it. Who needs an IPS if your gaming on it?

It has been tackled in the past.. With screen savers! Ah those glorious days of screen savers, maybe we will watch them again

Honestly... good point, didn't think about that. Too because screensavers haven't been running on my rig in a long, long time.

I still use screen saver. Call me oldschool, but you never know.

Screensaver can help and fix the problem only partically. Oled is still an issue for commercial use - as an example.
