Hi after some extensive researching due to my gtx 780 not displaying ANYTHING on my ryzen 7 i've noticed that alot of people have this issue as well and i don't know how to fix it, i've read that using a display port adapter bypasses the issue, can anyone confirm this?

And also has anyone gotten this to work and do you have any solutions ?

(PS : changing the PCIE setting in the bios from 3.0 mode to 1.0 does fix it, however i don't have that option in my bios so can't do that)

Try Legacy mode in bios and disable fast boot

    Check this also:

Ryzen 7 2700x no display on boot

What's your motherboard? and BIOS version>?

Do you have CSM (Compatibility Support Module) in your BIOS?

    Try enabling !
    -------------------------
GTX 780 doesnt support UEFI. So check that kinda of CSM functionality and try.

I can try updating the bios to the latest version, but i really don't think that'll make a difference.

HAve you checked with the display port:

    Member @Clouseau did the following:

Important to make sure that fast boot option in the bios is disabled. My monitor requires that I manually select the correct input, HDMI or DisplayPort that is being utilized. What helped me was switching the cables to DisplayPort and bootup. Display was then working. Powered down and then switched back to HDMI and booted up. The display was then working with an HDMI connection.

I made sure CSM was enabled + installed the chipset drivers + updated the bios to the latest version and still no display from the gpu (and before you ask i tested it on a spare old ddr3 motherboard and booted perfectly + drivers worked so the card is fine)

I'll buy a cable, it's honestly ridiculous that amd cpu's have an issue with older gtx cards

Do you think a displayport to hdmi adapter would work ? cause i can't exactly use a displayport to displayport cable with my monitors...

This is not a cable issue, theres a compatibility issue involving initial run Reference 780 boards running the 80.10.xx.xx.xx bios and x370 boards when Zen+ chips are installed.

and i don't believe it is bios correctable
