I'm a bit curious, but... what are people actually doing in this game once they completed the campaign (which i did)?

 

Good question. I was buying all sorts of cars and driving them around when suddenly i got calls my various businesses were under attack or i needed to bring a green van back before the police would notice it.

Stuff like that. With Trevor i was just driving around with a bike trying to solve ramp stunts while also terrorifying ppl on the beach.



In the end i kept the savegame but restarted the campaign to see the different endings.

I've finished the campaign in a few days and then I've spent months just driving around, exploring the whole world and fighting with police.

 

yea they great sandobxes to f around in, the physics bugs make it 1000% better.

toss in a few mods and you can single player a bunch of hours into gta 5 just goofing off in your batmobile and fing the cops up.

 

See how long you can survive with full stars.

 

I see i see, was curious because GTA V seems to be massive on Twitch lately i felt like i missed something regarding this game. RP streamers on multiplayer dragging tons of views.

 

yea arma also some off the RP people are funny as hell they take it so serious makes some great trolls.

hell any game has role play servers if you have a mind for it can be an endless source of amusement, especially with a few accomplishes. starting cults and such for lulz.

 

I heard of a guy RPing as a cop who was actually a cop in RL and is now retired sitting at home and playing GTA lol. Now that's authentic.

It's probably been talked about but there's no way I'm digging through these threads, but is there a fix for the Nvidia gpu low usage issue? I just re-installed and noticed that my gpu is definitely not being used 100% causes me to get dips in the 40's. I've tried all the basics I've read like different drivers, setting system memory to performance, enabling v-sync, etc.

 

you mean the one caused by turning up cpu bound settings in the game and isn't an "nvidia issue" at all?

 

What settings are those?

 

NVCP = MFAA off
Population density
Distance Scaling
Particles (highest setting adds shadow casting to dust and smoke - cpu intensive)
Grass (highest setting adds ambient occlusion to grass blades - cpu intensive)


Are you still using the 8350?

 

Still using an 8350 but even with those settings turned on why is my cpu usage only around 50-60%? That would have no impact at all on why the gpu is only using around 40-50%.

 

the utilisation % of a cpu is not an indicator of its impact on game performance or whether it is holding back a GPU.

a Phenom II 1100t outperforms the 8350 in gtav

what resolution are you playing at?

 

yea i think i hasd a 760 last time i played a modded gta 4 and fps was great.

not installed it recently though.

 

your old i3 spanked the 8350 though.
