Shadow of TR still crashes in DX12 on those, so can't even use RTX on 2080 Ti.. Why so many games have problems with DX12 lately? If not crashes then stutter ot freezing issues, not looking great for the future..

Feels like most things are broken these days or lack of good testers and feedback or even taking that feedback onboard from reading everything nowadays.

I wonder if this driver helps all us people that have been crashing a ton on GTAV lately since that casino/launcher update.

Why and how would this driver fix their crappy launcher?

It isn't a driver problem it's the game itself

    hello

when compared to 431.7, this driver suffers a 5-15% performance drop in volta (Titan V) in dx12 and Vulkan games. Also level load time for some games has increased such as ROTTR SOTTR, echo, and Agony.

Nvidia, please consider boosting rather than hobbling prior cards editions, and at the very least don't compromise any performance in driver releases to prior cards.

All my observations are at 4k, no DLSS, and nothing higher than TAA (SMAA preferred), no DoF, no Motion Blurr, no down sampling, max shadows, max AF, no quality compromises, no resolution shortcuts, max eye candy, max effects, max lighting, no vignetting, etc

    As always thank you

    Rubbish.

AMD introduced a driver side change that improved the stability but dropped performance.

its an issue RockStar needs to address.

The crashes go all the way back to 388, drivers that were known to be perfect for GTAV.

Whatever is wrong, it only occurs on Windows 10 too, game runs fine online in 7.

Theres nothing in the video drivers for either brand that would depend on GTAV being online or offline, and we know that -scofflineonly solves the crashing issue in story mode.

Need more details. Is this specific to NVIDIA GPUs?

    Hello guys!
Any fix for Mortal Kombat 11 weird artifacts on this new driver? Anyone tested?
    Thanks!

Please fill out the driver feedback form below so I can look into it:
    https://forms.gle/kJ9Bqcaicvjb82SdA

Also if you can, email me screenshots of your in game graphics settings used and any settings you have changed in the NVIDIA Control Panel from the default settings so we can match the settings you are using. You can email them to driverfeedback@nvidia.com

I am using the DCH driver, the the logs file are directly inside C:\ProgramData not as usual inside C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA

    Is that normal behavior?

Where would you like to do the cut-off, so that you can finally do some proper gaming with your four scientific research cards?

Nope, from the driver release notes:

    Known Issues:
[Shadow of the Tomb Raider]: Random crashes to the desktop occur when the game is played in DirectX 12 mode. [200549489]

Well i've been playing day one and not had a single issue with it either, vsync enabled too and no crashes or anything and haven't had to use the beta.

Consider yourself lucky then. there have been 5 beta updates to fix various things in the game since it was released a week ago, and they are still working on fixing other things as well. (all concerning performance and graphical glitches).

I did see the reports of stuttering and crashes as well as not being to start the game but not experienced any of them myself and consider surge 2 as being one of the best releases quality wise this year, the vulkan issue i'm sure would be very frustrating indeed and i do feel for you in that regard.

...well, they took the cards OUT of their quadro driver series and PUT them into the gaming driver series, so you tell me?

Apparently Surge 2 is just dual thread and so suffers performance CPU hit. M$ will be releasing a new patch that will optimise CPU performance so that low threaded apps like surge 2 could get a surge in performance. 15%
