I went 2002-2010 every year, and also 2012, 2013, 2014. Man, it is always such a party. I think the year i got the most wasted was 2003 when it was at the Adam's mark hotel (now a Sheraton) right in the middle of downtown dallas....was the first time in a place besides the mesquite convention center. We freakin trashed that place (not that it is a good thing, it isn't.....but it did happen). But the next couple years at the gaylord Texan were a blast. Gaylord texan is my fave venue for sure. Rather be in grapevine than dallas any time. (Vaguely) recall walking all around there with a backpack full of blunts and 100 proof so-co. Drugs are bad kids.......be careful if you indulge.
DFW area is only two hours from where i live. I used to go all the time before i worked for myself. I had a boss that would always let me build a sweet new gaming rig to take down there.
It honestly would be worth developing time travel, so I could go back in time to attend the announcement of that game, and also be one of the people for the Q & A because of the phrasing by the developer after everyone was booing. Dev: "Hey, cmon guys...you have all got tablets, right?" Me: "Just because your boyfriend has got an asshole, doesn't mean you get to **** it!" /micdrop /takes a bow /elevate into internet fame for the rest of time.
And? There is no info about what it is, only rules and news. Obviously I wanted to get a funny/sarcastic replies. I know how to search in WWW.
QuakeCon is a yearly convention held by ZeniMax Media to celebrate and promote the major franchises of id Software and other studios owned by ZeniMax. It includes a large, paid, bring-your-own-computer (BYOC) LAN party event with a competitive tournament held every year in Dallas, Texas, USA. The event, which is named after id Software's game Quake, sees thousands of gamers from all over the world attend every year to celebrate the company's gaming dynasty. The event is highly dependent on volunteers to cover many aspects of the organization of the event. QuakeCon has historically had a reputation as the "Woodstock of gaming", and a week of "peace, love, and rockets!".[1][2]
@insp1re2600 Thanks. A chat with real person is true pleasure (true intercourse), while searching the WWW is like a self-stimulation.
Prefer self stimulation most of the time, things make more sense that way. ps: i was also wasted at quakecon.
No need to sneak. Its always in a swanky hotel. Go to the bar, or go to the room, or just walk around with it.
Oh yeah, BYOC was awesome. Play till your eyeballs cant take anymore, then go and party till you were ready to play again, repeat.
