I have 1440P monitor, max is 960 DLSS i see on smoke, papers, enemies from distance just a low res pixels. On 1440P its clean.
Oh.. for $@#(* Start Control. Go to Options -> Display. 1. Set Nvidia DLSS to "OFF" 2. Choose Quality Preset "High" 3. Ray Tracing Preset to "OFF" 4. Turn off SSAO 5. Set Screen Space Reflection Quality to "OFF" 6. Global Reflections to "OFF" or "Medium" 7. MSAA to "OFF" 8. Ray Tracing Preset to "HIGH" 9. Set Nvidia DLSS to "ON" 10. Chose 960p under Render Resolution Dont touch anything else. Exit the game and open render.ini. In line 6 change 1706 to 1920 In line 7 change 960 to 1080 Save the file and close it. Launch the game. Go to Options -> Display, but don't touch anything! Under Render Resolution you should see 1920x1080 meaning that now you have 1080p DLSS, originally unavailable for 2560x1440 monitors. /done PS According to Nvidia Ray Tracing reflection replaces 99% of Global Reflection and then some(!), and it completely replaces SS reflections. As already said NVIDIA's guide stops short from recommending GR to OFF, but imho if something from GR is not replaced by RT reflections, it's some distant blob that's hardly worth keeping anway. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/guides/control-graphics-and-performance-guide/ Bear in mind, Screen Space Reflections cost 11 frames per second on High, and the supplementary Global Reflectionscost 17 frames per second to enable in areas with reflective metals. So, when you consider their combined cost, and the fact that Ray-Traced Reflections is doing 99% of their work at a far higher level of detail, and applying that work to far more of each scene, the performance of Ray-Traced Reflections is in fact comparatively low. With ray tracing we can fix this, because unlike screen space techniques that can only reflect what’s on screen, ray-traced reflections incorporate the entire scene around the character and camera, and can accurately represent objects outside and facing away from the camera's view. This enables 360 degrees of reflectivity, as well the reflection of off-screen and occluded detail. And because rays reach most game elements, virtually everything can receive reflections or be reflected onto other objects and surfaces, creating lifelike scenes that were previously impossible to render
Hey really appreciate it. But why turning off all details on beggining? Also how i compare screen from normal 1080P render vs 1080P DLSS. It will reset when i change? And again .ini?
In order to reset your settings and so you can set SS reflections to OFF. Additionally I can barely make sense from your reports, so we need to make sure you have fixed and sane settings
Part of a post I did back in 2015 this is in no way picking on sew333/litwicki22/jimmy23/SewerynLitwicki /mgty23 just need a little patience to help him out. I think noise gave you some good advice ,you should give it a shot.I think you should accept that the game has some problems but still is fun.Set the setting to where you can have 60FPS and wait for Remedy and Nvidia to provide new DLSS resolutions for your monitor ,so in a couple weeks you might be able to run 2560x1440 Native with new DLSS resolution scale at 2560x1440. Your 9900K and 2080Ti does not mean all games will run 60FPS even on a 2560x1440 Monitor.
If you use DSR like I said before you can do 4K @ 1080P DLSS, which is exactly what I use and I have a 1440P monitor too. Quality is noticeably better than 960P and performance is good. Not sure what issues you are having with that setup but it's perfect for me. 960P is too low resoluition for my tastes.
Guys could you please suggest me a good tool to take screenshots with free cam? For Control I mean. Thank you!
There's an upcoming patch adding a photo mode. Otherwise if you check the reddit of the Control game, there's some hack to access a debug cam, a bit tedious but if you're really committed... ^^
Thanks man. No, I am not committed at all lol but I'll have a look. edit: I cannot find any guide about it. :/
Hello. So yeah i tried DSR to 4K and in game DLSS 1080P. But i think its broken. Because 1080P DLSS its looking like 720P or worst. Something wrong i made? Nvidia PANEL DSR-SMOOTHNESS 33% or tried 0%. DSR-2.25 native. Res was on desktop was blurred also on 4k. But i like said in game resolution 4K and DLSS 1080P was broken and looking worst.
can someone actually talk about the game itself in terms of story ? is the campaign interesting ? phsx\graphics aside, is it worth it ? im asking cause most of the comments are about DLSS\RTX\fps.. thanks ~
I guess he just couldn't bring himself to do it I even tried with "DONT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE". Twice... @jmmy23 bro you need someone on teamviewer. Pick someone you like and PM him.
