I found an easter egg in Control. Spoiler Apparently Alan Wake and Control are in the same game universe.
DLSS is a mixed bag really, more than a categorical fail. It takes as much performance as MSAA X4 while delivering quality that is sometimes better, sometimes worse.
Community update: Upcoming patch with notably motion blur on/off toggle option added https://controlgame.com/control-community-update-30-8-19/
I think this is the best implementation of DLSS yet. The quality difference in return for FPS gains is great.
Yes but I don't recommend it. the quality difference with DLSS between 1440 and 1080 is minimal, but the FPS difference is pretty large. You will get FPS dips into the low 40s with 1440 and a 2080 Ti ... 1080 on the other hand is a solid 60-75 except in heavy firefights.
Okies i will try 1080p. Thank you bro :* <3 Anyway somebody tried that DSR fix and quality its better? Ah and set 50% smoothness?
Got today Sapphire Pulse RX 5700 This is with Ryzen 5 1400 @3600; waiting for new CPU... *MSI Afterburner - recording minus 5 - 7 FPS *video is.... stuttering... But FPS is visible... Before was something like this; voluemtric lights medium / MSSAx2 / everything else MAX / 2560x1080: RX 480 - from 30 - 45 / avg 35 RX 5700 - from 50 - 75 / avg 60 And... Control + Radeon Image Sharpeningom = BEAUTFUL!!
LOL I love doing the same crap in Control. That part of the game is great for destruction,I do get a kick out of ,I can pick up and destroy something like a compressor but a cardboard box ,do not even try .
good game, but the fov needs increasing dramatically, i often find the main character blocking the whole screen when trying to aim at people.
I was playing with cheat engine last night and you could change FOV,I am sure someone by now has made a mod to have CONTROL over FOV,motionblur etc.Hell maybe in this thread,I did not look though. EDITid quick look on reddit Control FOV changer DX11: https://www79.zippyshare.com/v/Hoyfgpn7/file.html DX12: https://www119.zippyshare.com/v/o2hr5h6A/file.html
I've checked out other RTX 2070s running the same settings as mine, 45fps while in action and over 45fps everywhere else looks to be pretty normal. I don't see why it would be considered bad.
I give up and stopped playing with DSR. So playing now 1440P DSL ( 960P ). Today i dont see much differences between 1440P without DSL and 1440P with DSL ( 960P ). I tested the same place in game. Maybe i am oversensitive with eyes? Yesterday yeah i see a more jaggy/pixel with DSL.
both links are forbidden fruits, apparently new patch will introduce fov anyway. edit: new url for those links https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=!AFVw1sZzhZRphR8&id=A2448DC3D8D5710!2904&cid=0A2448DC3D8D5710
