You don't know exactly how nVidia did it here. All we know is they are doing it somehow in hardware. And there are pros and cons of every implementation.

I don't know about fishy but it sucks that Pascal got sidelined in this regard. I saw some post on reddit quoting Intel where they said that they wanted to do Integer Scaling on their cards on software side but the performance hit was too big so they ditched that idea. But then again, those are Intel GPUs.
For some reason I doubt pixel games and retro games would even feel that performance impact on a proper GPU. After all, we do have useless unplayable Raytracing support. Single-digit performance didn't stop Nvidia adding support for RT to promote RTX cards.
I still harbor a teeny-tiny bit of hope that after "beta" period of IntegerScaling ends, they'll add it to Pascal too.

Didn't someone already report that Integer Scaling was working on their 1080 Ti?

All I saw is that "It works also with my GTX 1080 Ti" without any screenshots, don't know if that even counts as a proper report.
Maybe he confused it with the ultra latency option? I don't even have that scaling option in my control panel on Pascal.

No, there was an issue with auto-install GFE, even when user choosed not to install. So they deleted files from servers

Downloaded the drivers before I left this morning, any reason besides GFE to not install these? nVidia is taking a long time to sort this out, getting the 404 message on the download site?

FTL screenshots, BEFORE and AFTER are almost misleading.

Just fire up FTL and be amazed. Integer scaling is that good.

Without it the game looks like puke.

At least at 25x14. Proly slightly less of a puke if you're at 1080p

All we know for now - the only issue was with GFE. But cause NVIDIA fixing this so much time (there was file from 435.xx driver that fixed problem, lol, so its kinda easy to fix) - maybe they found some more problems.

I'll wait a little longer and see if it is updated, I can easily uninstall GFE if I need to but was just wondering if they found something else wile looking at that.

    Thank you.

Anybody have a link for the DCH version of this driver with the GFE bug?

    Am I missing something?
Downloaded driver from nvidia, stripped all folder except driver, physics and NVI, changed user.cfg eula lines and installed perfectly normal.
    Why the fuzz about GFE?

Maybe they found whatever caused the nvidia control panel to stop working when I tried it out?
