    That's why im changing my trusty 1700 (3.9GHz) 4x8GB @ 3474MHz CL14 1T for 3700X or 3800X.
Conservative OC to 4.3GHz 1.3v always help a lot for Gaming.
    3800MHz CL15 w/1900MHz IF (63-65ns)

With that setup 3700X can output similar 0.1% Lows as the 9900K ;)

I dont think ryzen 1600 is a bottleneck. Wod likes a fast ipc and higher clocks but most od time it should be enough cpu power to drive a vega64.

I still get 23k in firestrike clocks go to 1400+MHz and stay there, on the division 2 I get 1600 stable it's so strange. Really don't know the reason

Try to put Custom in WattMan w/Manual OC
Rest of the OC it should be done with OverdriveN Tool.

    Note:
If You can make PP_Table for Your GPU (after You know it's limits)
And always (after drviers update) load it Up by OverdriveN Tool.

    Here the tools:
    ====

OverdriveN Tool 0.2.8 Beta 11 is out:

Here is 0.2.8 beta11 with Vega 2 support.
    Note to Radeon VII users:
To avoid GPU values revert back on apply GPU minimum should be equal or lower than GPU P1 MHz and GPU Maximum should be equal or higher than GPU P3 MHz.

Knowing the limits can help with not to surpass them, thus no Black screens :p
Work hard, You only do this once.... then is only Gaming.

    Wil
l try them out, I left a post with some photos of the card and the small mod I did. backplate gets really hot and the cold air from the fans gets that heat away so is doing something :).

    Remember:

    Vega i in a nutshell:

    • Higher clocks
    • Double rate FP16 math (Rapid Packed Math)
    • HBM2
    • New memory page management for the high-bandwidth cache controller
    • Tiled rasterization (Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer)**
    • Increased ROP efficiency via L2 (48MB) cache
    • Improved geometry engine
    • Primitive shading for even faster triangle culling
    • Direct3D feature level 12.1 graphics features (11.0/ 11.1/ 11.2/ 11.3/ 12.0/ 12.1 and is 12.2 Ready*)
    • Improved display controllers

    Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer
It is implemented & enabled even now, but it needs Dev to write code by Hand
(DOOM Eternal will be good example)

That's why ATI (still) working on A.I. sort of managment -> How to & When + Where A.I. Tasks
Then you can just have it everywhere (even in DX9/OGL games lol)

IMO this feature is in rDNA, and it will gets only better in time.
Save GPU power by a good margin :p

I think more games will be like WWZ, the vega cards dont even need to be at 100% to give amazing performance. BF5 is a really good example of what Vega can do.

Yesterday I did some testing and was geting on Strange Brigade DX12 all setings to max 120 fps to 150 on 1440p, its just crazy the performance of this card.

Im using Chill + FRT to match my FreeSync Hz (Max for my Monitor is 71,74Hz)
65-71FPS is my sweet spot for Chill Gaming.
BFV,BF1 etc. AntiLag at 71FPS (no Chill)

"I dont think I can get better then this."
    O yes You can :p

Try to go for 1668MHz with 1100MHz HBM2
    Then try 1702MHz.

    Leave P6 at lower 1600MHz or 1585.

Here my setup for Heavier Games (BFV or BF1 with full stability 1.093v for Beta drivers, 1.087v for WHQL)

Thats what I have I can even do HBM at 1200

Did another run, this time in superposition and I hit a wall at 1599, stays there.

IIRC when I were messing around with the program it turned out the issue was missing GTK libraries (specifically GTK# for .NET), as those had to be installed separately. Not sure if that's still the case but worth a shot!

It was annoying to troubleshoot as the program just silently failed without any error message, much like you experienced.

Open gpu-z and go to advanced. Check "board power limit", what's the value?

There is a slight chance BIOS switch is at "low power" position.

What's your current PSU? Are you using different 8pins (different outputs on the psu) or a splitted 1in2?

You can try my profile (V56 flashed to 64) and see if it fits you better.

Did some testing, just open heaven and just put some more setings, 1620mhz max clock but 1.2v and 50% power, card was at 370w . I think I just have a crap silicone. On the good side my hbm2 does 1175mhz easy.

Do not use Power at 50% (in some cases performance will drop)
    Try 1633MHz at 1.2v (or 1.175) HBM2 at 1125MHz with max 0.950v-0.993v Pow +0% or +1%
Then test for stability (Play some game for ~30min), then make Mem Tweak, and test again.
