Applications and service logs > Microsoft > Windows > Kernel-WHEA

but they will be filtered in to the System log too.

Thanks. So I went in (and I assume I then double click on "Errors") and there are 152 under "Number of Events" and all of them are Event ID 20.

    So does that mean anything?

It appears error 20 is not related to the WHEA issue. Error 17 is the bad one.

Is it the copy detail as text option down the right hand side panel? Would there be any kind of sensitive info in the log that I'd need to remove?

    Good to know thanks!

error 20 implies a bsod has occured due to a fatal error.

Hmm interesting as far as I am aware I've not had one crash or BSOD as of yet.

Even ran Blender benchmark bit earlier tonight and it had no issues.

Where are you getting that from? How can we check to find out? My 3700X was throwing BSODs constantly because of it and now it's been solid since the release of 1.0.0.3.

ahh ok that's interesting. How about the "uncorrectable" ones though? The BSOD I was getting related to an "uncorrectable WHEA" error.

The problem with AMD's short sighted change here is that "trivial" errors turn into "whea uncorrectable" or "watchdog timeouts" bsods when you get busy and do more stuff on the controller.

Nothing is fixed, this and the boost issues are unresolved.
I just hope that the rumors about new x590 chipset is true, I almost ordered MSI Prestige mobo yesterday, in advance for 3950x arrival, but now ill just wait until 3950x actually comes out, by that time if the new chipset is real it should be out to compliment the new CPU [gopefully it has more PCIe lanes]
