Remember old company MicroProse? They are back and will be doing new games, they got some screenshots on their site www.microprose.com
I'd say "back" is generous, the name has been sold around a few times and this is just the new owner. https://au.linkedin.com/in/david-lagettie-b55a8426 He made or headed a team that made this milsim engine http://titanim.net/www/index.php/page
hmm I dont think it was the 2000 version after i googled it. it was the first version. played it on the c64 I played many games , if i look at their list https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_MicroProse_games
This would be wonderful if it acquires traction. I played MicroProse games all the way back to November 1984 when I bought Silent Service for the C64. I had several of their games on my Amiga 500 a few years later. Played Gunship, Kennedy Approach and Silent Service for long hours at a time. I even called them once with a question and Bill Stealey answered the phone (it was after hours). Later they essentially became a part of Origin and that was a whole new phase of software simulation. Until then, I still play their sims on my legacy computers. I always thought EAW and M1TP2 were pretty cool. November 1984...not counting pinball and the arcade era in the late 70's/early 80's means I have been gaming for 35 years. And still going strong!
yea i had gunship! f119, pirates! on commodore. and my friend had silent service, and 1942 on his IBM pc. never played xcom back in the day the big one i missed i guess.
I want F1GP and Falcon, Kights of the sky, The president is missing(with cassette)....and Stunt car racer.
i got gunship! i got pirates gold on gog already. stunt track racer was another my buddy had i think on his ibm. might get f117 or something yet. until gog get janes on their site or janes gets revived by EA.
And let’s not forget their classic Microprose Soccer from 1988. Remember I spent countless of hours in it on my old 286 pc.
Yes. Microprose was one of the developers I was looking for when looking for a new game for my C-64 or Amiga. I remember playing Gunship, stunt car racer EAW and microprose soccer and Pitates! with a friend untill sunrise, but allso EA games was making alot of good games at that time. It will be interesting to see if Microprose still has talented developers and are able to keep the touch high in these times, where RTX, VR and tripple screen support are some of the buzzwords alot of there customers will demand today.
F-15 Eagle and Falcon 4.0 now that bring back memory's of time when flight simulators where a thing. and my Flight sticks had a use! Pretty sure I have the big book that came with falcon 4.0 lying around someplace.
I still own a couple of Jane's Combat Simulation games in the box. F-15, U.S. Navy Fighters '97 and Advanced Tactical Fighters. Used to have Longbow 2 as well, but sold it many years ago.
I know i have f15, IAF, longbow 1 and 2, 688i HK, and i got the disks here, but i tried to get LB2 going a few years back, using a bunch of different fixes, and it will run just fine, but colors, sounds, input even, and seems like it near impossible to get them run properly now days. hence i been REALLY pestering GOG to give it a go.
