Is that really necessary? This forum is friendly and helpful but not with that attitude. Try to stay on topic and post issues you have with your card if there is any, if not enjoy the gaming.

The man/girl/boy/woman really started with the wrong foot but thats because of one of his first post, when he/she/it may or may not have created many accounts to post about issues with gtaV... anyway now is trying to be a good boy/girl/man/woman doing bad jokes... lets give him the benefit of the doubt.

Depending on its behavior I'll consider Accelero Xtreme IV. But I think that in my use case it will not need any kind of OC. (1080p)
And then there will be RDNA2 or newer.

I'll probably get thermal pads, so I can have backplate helping with memory. And I'll consider changing graphite thermal pad on GPU for regular TIM w/ "washers mod".

Well the accelero is really good, its just a big cooler and looks a bit outdated, if you can get a cooler form a dead 390x or something like that, even a rx480 strix it will fit you only need to make some ajustments to it, but will fit on the die.

I did this with my rx480, I have a HD7870 here and used the cooler and it improved allot, still I had a accelero on the side and just used that one.

If you can keep that hot spo in control and Gddr6 temps in check that card will be a monster.

I have Sapphire RX-580 Nitro+. But I intend to send it out to the world once I am done testing 5700 XT. (Which will not take long as it has locked vBIOS.)
If I go for TIM replacement, I'll likely flatten vapor chamber's contact with GPU too. (If needed, since GN's video where they tested contact area with pressure papers shown some kinks.)

Very different screw hole setup. I did overlay both cards in Gimp and realized that even holes around GPU have different distance. So I went to measure them physically to confirm that images were right.
So, no Nitro+ cooler on stock 5700(XT). Other thing I noticed is that 3 memory chips on 5700(XT) close to display outputs would be only partially touching GPU heatsink, which would be bad as reported vram temperatures were not the best.

Not anymore Artic IV minus the huge backplate, using the backplate that came with it. Waiting to see if anymore waterblocks will be announced soon.

The Huge backplate makes a diference it gets really hot, at least on my rx480. if I use a fan on it vrm temps will go down around 20c.

I am gonna retry it in a day or two, and also look for all my other gpu coolers I have hidden around and see what happens. Just not feeling like the whole tear down since I am a little sick atm.

    LOL be nice.

Anyhow I thought I would post a throwback for us old timers with RX 480 that was flashed to a 580 and with my 2nd 580 Firestrike.

I still have the RX470....and the 1660Ti....and I'll have the RX5700 tomorrow. Buying Navi was always planned. The 1660Ti didn't change that. I just opted to grab a card with the reference blower instead of holding out for the cards with the "custom" coolers.
