I picked up My Sapphire NITRO+ RX VEGA64 (Non LE) a couple of months ago
it seems to run fine at the settings but i worry about the wattage

do you guys think its safe in the long run

I ran my Sapphire R9 290 Tri-x at 1100/5600 from day one and its still fine..
but didnt up the wattage on it as it was capable of staying at 1100 without it

Yes Hot spot will be the factor that will say if you can oc more or not.

Just be carefull not to toast the inside ofn the gpu core.

Also look at vrm temps 100c+ it will trottle.

Mine does the same they can use some power when we oc really hard.

I can do even 1.3v and it goes over 250w 100c on the vrm lol

Yeah i want all the performance i can get. 1500mhz -1.2v here around 220W but i keep vrm temps at 80c with a little agressive fan speed.

The Rx480 does not scale that well and I have a crap silicon, but I have to get all I can from the hardware.

My Board is the Non LE Nitro+ with 12 Phase vrm's it has a 210w bios and 240w
when i flash the Nitro + LE 14 Phase vrm bios with 263w limit = no boot

The Power Color Red Devil is also 12 Phase so tried flashing it earlier as it has a 260w limit
the bios seems legit better for overclocking i noticed that its closer 1.2v alot more than the Nitro+ bios
e.g. 1.184 etc where as the Nitro+ bios is at say 1.14 or 1.12 when under load alot of the time

also the vrm temps show in gpu-z now where as they didnt with the stock bios
also 1682 1045 50% Power Limit was the max with the Nitro+ Bios
been at 1702 1045 50% Power Limit for last 3 hours and havnt crashed yet

Use HWINFO64 to check temps. turn on the sensors. That wil give you the info you need.
