I drove a Taxi from 2007-2008, graveyard shift, 10pm - 8am, in a town of roughly 100K. What do you want to know?
did you ever get high with any of them while on duty.....fess up now!.... Edit: oh yeah I almost forgot...did you ever trade the taxi fare charge for sex?
I had many opportunities but I never drove under the influence. I've got a hell of a story about that.
Go ahead Brother.... tell us about it!.....after all, you asked us to ask!. what did she look like?...I sure hope it was a she?
So it was 1:30am on a Friday night which was my bread and butter time. I picked up two chicks and their ride was about 15 minutes. I knew one of the girls because her twin worked at my bank, and yes they were both hot. So when I get to their house they invite me in for some wine, I'm struggling in my brain, should I have a threesome or go back out and make money? I chose to make money and I still regret it this day. But I did make over a $100 bucks in tips that night.
I had sex with a couple of women on Monday, Tuesday nights when business was slow. There was one chick who worked at Taco Bell and got off at 2AM, I didn't charge her because she gave me head for a few hours while I drove around. She wasn't that hot but it was dark so I didn't care.
As men we all had that one we let get away....But you had 2 in one night!....Grrrrrrrrrrr! j/k...love ya jb!
Golf day? I've never heard anyone say that. Then again cabbies in mid-west America aren't really known for being golfers.
So, some value add to my comment...the reason they normally say Tuesday is because it is their semi-day-off. Mon-Fri they got the school runs, where they get paid to take kids to schools, and then drive the parent/parents back home or to work, or w/e - they all got regular fares. After these school runs are done, they head home, grab a sandwich and then pick fares via 'control' issuing them somewhere, work through until 3/4, pick up the kids from earlier for an easy fare, head home, grab another sandwich, cup of rosie lee, then head out until maybe 5/6, and head home for realsies. Friday night is what they call 'hard money', as you gotta deal with drunks, but fast fares 1-5 miles and big tips. Kinda the same on Saturday night, and Sunday is cleaning the car/family time. In short, the most unbusy day of the week is Tuesday, with the added bonus of the only people playing golf are other cab drivers! They do their morning school run and immediately go and play golf. I will put $£€500 into the pocket of anyone here if they go to a golf course on Tuesday morning around 10AM and do not see at least one of the cars outside with a yellow sign on the top of it.* *weather notwithstanding
I hear what you're saying. Here's how it was for me and where I lived. I worked Monday - Friday 10pm to roughly 8am or earlier depending on business. The reason I chose that schedule is because I knew what bars are most popular on certain nights. Monday nights were pretty much dead so I mainly watched TV in the office hanging out with the dispatcher. Tuesday and Wednesdays were hit or miss, but come Thursday your entire week could turn around and it always did. Over a dozen bars had beer specials, and believe it or not I made more money on Thursday's than Friday (which was still a good night). Saturday and Sunday, those were my nights to go out and party.
