Funny thing is that 3950x will beat 9980x even in gaming. Intel has nothing on AMD besides higher pricing.

I'll take higher pricing over performance any day!

Even if the scores are off, we don't know until September, can't deny its less than half the price of Intel counterpart.

well im definitly saving for the 12 cores 24 thread, and if we can really get that 200 mhz oc on boost like advertise on x570, we will get more than 6000 in single thread score, ryzen 3900x will definitly be good gaming cpu, ill wait for reviews and blackfriday and good buy my 7700k at 5.05 ghz

On a serious note, I noticed the same thing. Has she always had that? Because there's been quite a bit of up-close photos of her holding something and I don't recall seeing that before.

Point being the 3950 is on a platform tier lower. And my comment is directed towards the muti-core performance.

    This is more then funny.
Now only left AMD gpu with performance like 2080ti for 700€. :D
And there is something what Intel has and AMD dont - security issues.

TR offered quad channel memory, AM4 "only" dual channel.

Yes I understand all this was just pointing out that this desktop CPU is raping the competitors HEDT CPU’s at less than half the price. Intel is in some trouble, but at the same time 3950X MAY cannibalize some future TR sales.

I've felt the same way. If AMD decides to release 16-32 core TRs, that will start to cannibalize their lower-tier Epyc sales. TR is now in this really awkward middle-ground. That's probably why they don't have any official announcements for it, because they're trying to figure out how to keep the platform alive.

Didnt they said how zen2 can go up to 64 cores?

    R9 3950x 16/32
    TR 3990x 32/64
    Epyc 64/128
