The PC gaming show only consists of shitty indie 2D games and F2P mp games. This is exactly why I bought a GTX 1080 for. *sarcasm* How about another Enemy Territory, Quake, what about Crysis? Nah.... The only games I'm looking forward to this year are Halo MCC and call of duty modern warfare. Nothing else.
Just got done watching the Square Enix conference and I thought it was a pretty good showing overall. Final Fantasy 7 Remake looked and played better than I was expecting. March 3rd can't come soon enough. Other than that, the Romancing Saga 3, Final Fantasy 8, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals remakes looked great, if only for the nostalgia. I went to the Square Enix Store, thinking I'd get the 1st Class Edition of FF7, and then I saw the $329.99 price tag.
Mostly... a disappointment. Cyberpunk looks awesome, and a release date (which I figured would be in 2020), DOOM looks completely badass. So... win. Now... Ubisoft... no Splinter Cell, fail. MS... no talk about the PC release of HALO MCC... fail. No new Monolith Productions game, no new Batman Arkham... no new BioShock... pfft.
The rest of MS' conference fell completely flat after that. Nothing else they could do came close. And, I know it's popular to hate Bethesda right now, but... despite putting too much attention to mobile gaming, I liked their conference. Would've rather had gameplay from Tango and Arkane, I get why it was just CGI trailers. But, DOOM looks great, Wolf: Youngblood looks like a lot of fun. More RAGE 2 content is fantastic. Beth owning their mistakes with FO76 and bringing players what they want is a good step (even though I know most people will still complain, it'll never be good enough).
Mainly interested in the new Star Wars game for this years e3. But after seeing that underwhelming demo, just another mostly uninteresting e3 for me.
You aren't looking forward to Cyberpunk? Not your thing? I was hesitant about the hype, but cdproject clearly delivers, so that has swayed my excitement for the game. In the positive direction obviously.
todd has frequently given nods to shade thrown at bethesda, does not mean any real change or actual contrition is really meant. far as the sw game i remain hopeful. cyberpunk killed it final fantasy 7 my nostalgia is throbbing. honorable mention to that flight sim trailer. beyond that everything was meh to ok or wait and see.
My steam wishlist has ballooned quite a bit lol. It was a pretty decent E3 and cyberpunk was obviously *the* highlight. Looking forward to Doom as well ofcourse. I also came across this ridiculous meme during Beth's presentation and I can't stop laughing even now
GhostWire Tokyo, Doom, Eldern Ring, CyberPunk, Blair Witch and YoungBlood were the only standouts for me and games i'm looking forward too playing, everything else was pretty much shite imo (too much CGI trailers too) I'll probably still buy Shenmue 3, Bloodlines 2, 12 minutes, gears 5 and River Bond Also not sure what Microsoft were thinking with the LEGO forza DLC. I cant see that doing well as people play it for the real sports cars and probably too old for LEGO lol
No Splinter Cell is a damn shame after all that minor teasing they've done with the series. I was genuinely expecting one to be announced. Well at least they didn't announce one and make it a mobile game! And I agree with Monolith. I want them to make a new FPS or.. even better... a new FEAR Bioshock probably would never be the same without Ken Levine making it, but I would still welcome a new one for sure.
Is it strange if I can realistically see Bethesda re-re-re?releasing Skyrim, with the new version being the Raytracing version.
Apart from absolutely breathtaking Cyberpunk, I'm really looking forward to the new Doom. The new Star Wars game looks promising as well and all of it is coming within a year. The rest was kinda uninspiring, even new Wolfenstein, or which I held some hope.
The Nintendo Direct just ended and it was impressive. So many good games shown. Trials of Mana, Collection of Mana, Witcher 3 for Switch, Fire Emblem Three Houses, No More Heroes 3, Contra Collection, Panzer Dragoon, Cadence of Hyrule, and Animal Crossing New Horizons The Hero from Dragon Quest and Banjo Kazooie got announced for Smash Ultimate. And then there's a sequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in development, although they didn't say too much about it. April 16th, 2020
Really liked E3 this year, although i dunno why everyone & his dog tries to sell subscription services. I think games should be about quality not quantity. My fav list for now: GhostRecon Breakpoint (4th Oct 2019) Jedi Fallen Order (15th Nov 2019) WatchDogs Legion (6th Mar 2020) Vampire Masq. 2 (Mar 2020) Cyberpunk2077 obviously (16th April 2020) Rainbow6 Quarantine (Q1 2020) Ready or not (Q4 2020)
